Good movie - Poorly run theater. We went to see an action blockbuster, but they didn't advertise it as being shown in Sauna-Vision! There was no A/C or even fans blowing. With 90 degree temps outside, the theater was sweltering the whole 2+ hours. This was particularly rough on my elderly mother-in-law. She made sure the rest of us were clearly aware of this fact. Before the movie started, I went out to the concession stand and pointed out to an attendant that there was no sound on the local commercials and it was too hot in the theater. The answers: The commercials don't have sound and the AC is running but it takes a while to cool down the room. When the previews started - no sound on them either. After about 5 minutes, they started the movie with no previews. On the way out we commented about the lack of air in the theater. That attendant said "Yeah, I'm having to apologize to everybody. I can't apologize enough." A smart theater would have offered free passes for a future show to compensate for the horrible experience. That would have kept us coming back, but instead we are done with this place. They have all these good reviews for being "affordable", but this is a pre-COVID / pre-inflation perception. The savings here are not that much compared to their modernized competitors. You can go to the big name theaters now and spend not much more to get recliner seats, an air conditioned theater, bigger screens (without noticeable pin-holes like screen 2), better drink choices, and more attentive staff. We've been semi-regulars at this theater for several years. It's sad that it's no longer...
Read moreUsually go here quite often to see movies but had to go to AMC in plfd today because Coraline in 3D wasn’t playing at Mooresville. After looking at the prices online they looked comparable to Mooresville…..after going I was not impressed with AMC and will not be returning. We will just wait to buy the movie if Mooresville doesn’t end up showing it. Mooresville theater is well taken care of and much better all around than AMC in plfd. The employees are friendly and it is just a better experience all around at...
Read moreIt's a nice quiet little movie theatre. It is not as crazy and big as the regular ones, so it feels more comfy. It is not very crowded, so you don't have to get here that early on opening night/friday/etc. The food is good, popcorn and drink is the same highish movie theatre pricings you see everywhere. Seating is fine, comfy seats, nothing new or fancy. It just feels right and I like driving to Mooresville instead of Plainfield anytime to see a good movie, at a good theatre, for a nice price, and...
