Tazza Mandi — Attraction in Morrisville

I have been buying groceries from them until I realized that they are cheating and charging more than four folds for certain items. For example, I bought 15 mango cans that were price tagged at $2.79 per can. Right after paying at cash register, I checked my receipt and noticed that they have charged me $6 per can. I went back to the lady cashier before even leaving the store, she referred me to Singh, who told me that “because of the Law we cannot return sold items”. I argued that I have even not yet left and that the price tag is not right so I should be refunded. But without apologizing, the guy denied a return and even a replacement. His behavior was rude and completely unprofessional. I have researched a bit and found no law that will restrict return of items that are not exposed, let it aside that the items were still in store.

Long story short, I paid more than double for the items that I am now buying in another Indian store.

I will definitely stay away from this...

Please PAY ATTENTION when you purchase any fresh meats from the butcher ( HALAL meat) at the back of the store. The guy who sells meat will RIP YOU OFF for your money and charge you more then the price he is advertising. His price will always change every 2 weeks when I come here. Very inconsistent. Last time I was there, For 1 pound of meat he charged me $28.00 dollars. This is the SECOND time he has RIP ME OFF without thinking that I was paying attention. I let it go the first time because I did not want to embarrass him in front of people. The second time, I addressed him with the error and he apologized and refunded me my money and even promise me free meats the next time I come back. I will NOT be returning to this place. You have just lost a LOYAL customer because you choose to be greedy for money and dishonest. If you choose to buy meat here, pay attention when he weight the meat and the INCONSISTENT charges he provides to you. Save your self a headache and go...

Update 10/24: Shop is under new management and still has the same warmth as before. Rohit, Naveen go above and beyond with their service to thr poont of ordering stuff upon your request that they may not have immediately. A unique addition here is the meatshop is now in-house as opposed to being rented to a third party, which means the quality of meat has improved manifold.

Original update 04/24/23: We moved here 6 months ago and first visited this place 2 years ago. The service and their collection of fresh veggies made us stick to this place after our move. Prices for veggies are fairly priced as opposed to other stores that bank on the exoticity of certain indian produce. They sell chai from a machine which, for some reason, is better flavored than the rest of the places with the same machine we've visited thus far. Their service is always...
