We decided to prop the door open with a small stone and return to our rooms. Immediately, this individual the GM JUSTIN DURRANCE came out furious and rudely confronted us, yelling and pointing at us with the stone. When he noticed we were Hispanic, it got worse – he began to discriminate and scream at us. However, we had been so decent not to complain about the poor service. When we arrived, the dishwasher was broken, and there was only one soap bar for the whole family. We rented 2 rooms for 2 families and our little dogs. This man rudely offered a refund for one day due to the poor room service and immediately proceeded to charge unauthorized amounts for our dogs on our credit card. His Assistant Manager, Zareena, was the only pleasant part of our stay, and she was very apologetic. Both dogs are emotional support animals, but he did it out of revenge. A very rude person, to be honest.||||When we went down with our husbands to the front desk and confronted him about his behavior, he lied, claiming that we were threatening him, and he called the police to kick us out of the hotel for invading his space – a completely ridiculous situation since we had paid for our entire stay. Thank God the police arrived. I was terrified because I have a 12-year-old son who was having breakfast in the room when this Justin threatened me, saying it's better for his son to eat quickly so they can leave.||||We told everything to the police, who were incredibly kind and polite, and we asked them to please protect us from this lunatic until we left the hotel. Imagine the moment we went through there – a racist making you leave a hotel as if we were criminals, having the audacity to call the police. But, thankfully, he did us a favor. We just crossed the street and made a reservation at the Home2 by Hilton hotel. The experience was EXTRAORDINARY. They immediately waived the pet fee of $75 per night, and we celebrated one of the best New Year's Eves we can remember. That's why you shouldn't go to domestic hotels; go to recognized chains like Hilton. They know what they're doing and respect families and customers.||||In summary, if you love your pets and have a family, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL, Stay Apt. We know this is not the first time this man has done this, but I imagine his bosses don't care about reviews or the money he costs them, harming the hotel's reputation, and customers."||Trip type||Vacation||||Travel group||Family||||Rooms||2||||Service||1||||Location||3||||Rooms||poor...

Read moreThe best part about this place is that the staff was friendly and it’s only about 20 to 30 mins from literally anywhere you want to go in Raleigh. There’s also a Walmart, food places right on the same road a few mins drive away. The check in experience wasn’t great. Nobody was in the office because it was Saturday and we had to try 2 different numbers to reach Sean for him to let us in. I’d recommend if you want to book this place to do it directly from their site. Apparently they tried to cancel my reservation and Airbnb didn’t notify me. So the only room available when we got there, after a 10 hour drive, wasn’t technically ready for guests. The fridge wasn’t working and the room was a little disheveled, like furniture moved around and stuff. But we were offered a refund for one night and waived pet fee due to the inconvenience, and we were only staying for 2 nights, so we accepted it. However, the refund we received was not the full price we paid for one night. The room does not look like the pictures. There is carpet which is not seen in the pictures and the carpet could use vacuuming, it was dirty. No pots, dishes, etc in our room either. The grass outside the building where you can walk your dog was really tall, like it hadn’t been cut in weeks, and there was dog poop everywhere. Our dog is little and the tall grass was an inconvenience for him, it was taller than he is. Also keep in mind that there are a lot of dogs here, some quite large. Probably the majority of the guests had dogs from what I saw. It’s a pet friendly place, which is the reason we chose to stay here. And it wasn’t a problem for us, but just a heads up for anyone who may not like dogs or have...
