For a relatively new hotel, it leaves a lot to be desired. It seems as if they rushed the developmental process and cheapened out on the materials. Iâve stayed in more than one room here and havenât been too impressed with any of them. The rooms already show obvious signs of wear and tear. The bases of bedside tables have cracks. The bathroom showers have rust already. The counters are scuffed and dinged up. The housekeepers are not approachable and are rude or unable to understand you which causes most things to be lost in translation. The stairwells are decorated with dead bugs; which I did see an exterminator enter the hotel one day, so maybe theyâre trying to deal with that issue. Though, seeing an exterminator in the middle of the day at a hotel is never a comforting sight, in my opinion. Thereâs a serious ventilation problem with this building as well, the halls reek of whatever someone may have cooked in their room. There were very pungent odors in the front half of the fourth floor hall when I stayed there. They should seriously look into rectifying the air quality within the building.
My last stay here was definitely the worst. When I entered my hotel room for the first time, it smelled stale and as if there was a wet dog in there previously. I had to crack the window, the small amount that I could, and spray my own cleaning spray to help with the odor. As previous guests mentioned in their reviews, the air conditioning units are very loud. While we are on the topic of things being incredibly loud, letâs get into the most frustrating and disturbing part of my last stay here. On one of the mornings of my stay, the maintenance staff was slamming doors repeatedly and using their boisterous drills: all this around 8 am. I counted the doors slamming at least 10 times back to back, followed by the drills. I was awoken to this. Then the very next night, there were sports teams staying in the hotel. These kids literally yelled and screamed and laughed and played volleyball in the parking lots until 4 in the morning. I kept waiting for the hotel staff to get them in line and no one did. I understand there will be some noise at hotels but this was ridiculous! They were SO loud and for HOURS. Until MORNING! YES, they were even louder than the AC units. Our whole night was consumed by those kids and their noise. We couldnât even hear the tv, on a decent volume. The window was closed by the way. When we spoke to the receptionist about it she apologized and informed us that others had complained as well. She gave us a partial refund for the night and told us that we could contact the manager the next day for the full night, which we most certainly deserved.
Here is the horrific cherry on top of the mess that was my stay at this hotel. Once I talked to the manager, Deanna Brown, she excused the noise and basically said that it is normal for hotels to experience that type of noise. She then falsely claims that the staff had the situation under control. Since when is a bunch of teens yelling and playing music and carrying on obnoxiously until 4 , almost 5 in the morning, under control?! She then says that the 50 dollars they refunded to me is more than accommodating and something they never do. She goes on to say, that if she gives me the full nightâs refund, sheâd have to do the same with every other guest who complained⌠since when is the financial obligation that a hotel has to all of itâs guests my problem? I canât speak for every other guest but I most certainly can account for my terrible and inconvenient experience and should undoubtably be compensated for it! She basically showed me that my comfort and full nights rest werenât valued there. I will definitely make sure to let corporate know how I feel about their âpracticesâ. Needless to say, I wonât be staying with them anymore. Do better. Hire better staff members, train them appropriately and remember that you are in the HOSPITALITY...
Read moreMy recent stay at TownePlace Suites Morrisville was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the entire experience.
One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly the cleanliness of the rooms. Upon entering my suite, I was immediately struck by how pristine everything was. The attention to detail was evident, with every surface sparkling and every amenity neatly arranged. It's clear that the housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work, and their efforts certainly did not go unnoticed.
In addition to the immaculate accommodations, I was consistently impressed by the courteousness of the staff. From the front desk attendants to the cleaning crew, everyone I encountered went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. Whether I had a question about local attractions or needed an extra towel, assistance was always provided with a smile.
What truly sets TownePlace Suites Morrisville apart, however, is the overall experience it offers as a new hotel. Despite being a newcomer to the hospitality scene, this establishment operates with a level of professionalism and efficiency that rivals even the most established names in the industry. From the seamless check-in process to the thoughtful amenities provided in each room, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend TownePlace Suites Morrisville highly enough. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. I look forward to returning for another stay in the...
Read moreI am a Lifetime Platinum Elite Bonvoy Member. I was recently in the Raleigh area for an extended work training trip.(19 nights) My wife and two dogs travelled with me. Overall, the property was fantastic, and I plan to stay there again should I return to the Raleigh area. Ms. Mimi, Ms. Nasia, and Ms. J at the front desk were always helpful and friendly. I got to know Ms. Susan (Breakfast preparer Extraordinaire) rather well during our stay as well. I highly recommend this property to other travelers. The fact that it was by the airport was not noticeable as we seldom heard air traffic in our room, and we were on the fourth floor.
I do have some suggestions for improvement, but not that these took away from our stay. I walked our dogs around the property to do their business and I noticed that at each main floor entrance there was a fair amount of cigarette butts thrown on the ground. I think if you added a trash can with an ashtray this could be taken care of. Large trash cans on the floors by each ice machine would be helpful for people that have accumulated trash in their rooms. I checked and each floor (2-4) had space for a large square trash can by the ice machine. A trash can under the sink in the kitchen area would be helpful for guests who decide to cook in their rooms. The wheels on the luggage carts can be compressed when loaded with luggage as they're made out of a soft rubber. Changing these wheels(casters) to a hard rubber style would make the carts move easier in...
