Love this place. There are plenty of spots on the beach. Great for swimming, fishing and picnics. Short hike down to the water, so try not to overload yourself with supplies. You’ll have to carry it all back up when you’re done. Dogs need to be kept on leashes if they aren’t good with other dogs. There’s critters in the woods that could hurt your fur baby if you let your dog wander. If you are going to be there after dark, make sure you bring a flash light. It’s extremely dark down there and a dark walk up the trail. We always let the time get away from us and before we know it, we’re wandering around aimlessly searching for our belongings and tripping over tree roots, wishing we...

Plenty of parking, easy walk down to the lake to set up at a spot. If you prefer to walk there is a trail that starts here and wraps around the lake. The loop is over 7 miles. I walked down and went to the left to start. Nice views and pretty shaded for the most part. The trail is dirt, but mostly flat for the 2 miles I walked one way. I turned around at that point and headed back to the parking area. Trail is wide and easy walk. I saw people biking the trail too. There is a few areas along the way that have picnic benches to sit...

A little tricky to get to the shore line, you follow a shaded trail then there's a drop from water loss to the shore line. Tables around, not very crowded during covid. People walking their dogs. There is a bathroom at the parking lot but I didn't see if it was...

Most underrated spot showcasing Mt. Shasta in its glory over Lake Sisikyou. Loved the tranquility and serenity of this beautiful lake seeing the mountain full of snow and its magnanimous size. I would highly suggest this place if you just want to sit on a picnic table have food and spend some quality time with the amazing views.
