Love this place. There are plenty of spots on the beach. Great for swimming, fishing and picnics. Short hike down to the water, so try not to overload yourself with supplies. You’ll have to carry it all back up when you’re done. Dogs need to be kept on leashes if they aren’t good with other dogs. There’s critters in the woods that could hurt your fur baby if you let your dog wander. If you are going to be there after dark, make sure you bring a flash light. Read morePlenty of parking, easy walk down to the lake to set up at a spot. If you prefer to walk there is a trail that starts here and wraps around the lake. The loop is over 7 miles. I walked down and went to the left to start. Nice views and pretty shaded for the most part. The trail is dirt, but mostly flat for the 2 miles I walked one way.
