My husband and I got married at the Mansion at Mountain Lakes this summer and cannot say enough good things about this venue! From the first time I visited I was just wowed by how beautiful the place was. The ballroom is absolutely gorgeous. Very elegant, awesome bar, huge dance floor, and a really cool stair case to make your grand entrance! It looks modern and classy and they do a great job setting up the space. We used the front and side rooms for our cocktail hour and loved how much light it let in and how open it felt. We had our ceremony on site as well and our maitre d Nick was on top of everything making sure we all knew where to be and felt comfortable and confident. That was so huge for us as we hadn’t been in any wedding parties before so really appreciated his guidance and great attitude! My bridal attendant Maddie was also super sweet and helpful, and really saved me by pinning my dress more before the first dance so I wouldn’t trip. Nancy and Jim are so kind, real, and so great at what they do! They know how to put together a spectacular event. I appreciated how honest they would be, never once trying to upsell us or anything, they really just tried to help us create the night of our dreams and they did! The food was delicious, people loved the cocktail hour so much a lot of people thought that was the main event! So many unique and tasty station options, there’s something for everyone. One of my favorite aspects of the venue was the bridal suite. I visited other venues that had a “bridal suite” that was really just a room with a couch that you could only use 2 hours before the ceremony. At the mansion they have a gorgeous double suite with salon chairs and mirrors and plenty of room to spread out, and we could use it all day! We absolutely loved getting ready there it was really special and super convenient not to have to run around at different places the day of the wedding. All in all, I can’t imagine a more perfect place or better hosts to help us through the most important day of our lives! They helped us relax (as much as you can when it’s your own wedding haha) and have the absolute best time. I would absolutely 1000% recommend to anyone and everyone looking to have your...
Read moreThe Mansion at Mountains Lakes gave my husband and I the most perfect wedding. I found the MAML on the Knot and was immediately drawn to its unique and rustic atmosphere. Jim, Nancy, and Olivia were always so helpful, accommodating, and always prioritized our vision for our wedding. They truly became part of our family during this process.
As a bride I had several hiccups during my wedding prep after my engagement. But I can honestly say that I had NOT ONE hiccup with the MAML, it was the one constant happy perfect aspect of my wedding. Jim Nancy and Olivia spent countless hours with us going over our vision, menu, and our special day.
I loved the MAML so much that I made sure I started my day there. Myself and my ladies used their lovely brand new bridal suite to get ready which was a perfect relaxing way to get ready. MAML took care of our lunch and drinks and it was a perfect place for the photographer to take pictures before our ceremony which was offsite.
Our guests loved our wedding and for most it was his/her first wedding at the MAML. They loved the ambiance and spaciousness of our cocktail hour, and raved about the food and complemented our unique and trendy cocktail hour food selections. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the new ballroom is, how delicious dinner was, and how great all the bartenders were at our wedding make sure everyone was happy and having a good time. I honestly wish I was getting married again just so I could have my reception at the MAML.
As a bride, Bianca our bridal attendant took such good care of us. She was wonderful helping me bustle my dress and making sure I was stress free. She set up a wonderful sit down cocktail hour for my husband and I so we could enjoy quality time after just saying I do privately. She was so attentive but also gave Danny and I the space we needed to enjoy our reception as husband and wife.
I think the MAML is a perfect place to have your wedding. It met all of our criteria of being absolutely beautiful, wonderful food, top shelf alcohol with beautiful brand new bars, within our budget, and wonderful people- Jim Nancy and Olivia being there to help every step of the way. We are...
Read moreUpon entry no one was there to great us ( we were 5 minutes early so it wasn’t a huge deal ) however the remaining of the tour was just as bad , upon confusing my appointment with someone else’s we were left alone once again for him to get the proper paper work quickly and coldly ran through the usual confirmation questions name, date, qty of guests, then just begins walking to the back of the building a says “ we pretend it’s always raining here so even though you want an outdoor ceremony this would be the room for that” then stands there staring into space or at me or my fiancé giving no direction or information, this was how each room showing went until we reached the ballroom where he apologized to my mother for being a wedding planner in an extremely rude and condescending way then shows us the bridal suite which was the only decent room visually to then walk us back downstairs to a conference room where the rude condescending remarks continued after a basic overview of the menu we began our questions .... he refused to show us the outdoor ceremony space and proceeded to ask me my previous tour locations which was followed by snarky comments unnecessary personal information of said venue owners and straight up bad mouthing them being completely unprofessional having had enough and already decided we did not want to do business there we politely said we had another appointment bf had to leave once again he questioned us as to where it was then had the gaul to say “ don’t faint when you see the price there “ again in a very rude and assuming manor! We were livid and left the building immediately , upon exiting we see the extremely small outdoor area after being told they can accommodate 400 people when clearly no more then 100 if even that could comfortably be in the area while standing outside and discussing our opinion and getting ready to leave an unmentioned train flys by right next to the outdoor area and ballroom would never recommend to anyone after my experience here I never leave reviews like this but as brides we have enough stress planning we do not need someone like that...
