MLB is a staple of the upper echelon of North Jersey breakfast food. If you are a New York or New Jersey native, you know how hard it is to find a great tasting bagel or bagel sandwich, to go along with the ingredients inside of it. Having lived less than 2 miles from this location my whole life, and having tried countless other Taylor Ham egg and cheese sandwiches (the uncultured call it pork roll), this is undoubtedly the best I have ever had, on an extremely consistent basis. The bagels are always fresh, and the workers inside MLB are among the friendliest. The establishment may not look glamorous, but that is not why I come here. I come simply because they serve the best breakfast sandwiches and bagels around, no doubt. It’s places like this that cement Jersey for having such superior bagels to the rest of the country. As for the ordering process, it can sometimes be a little dysfunctional, but this is simply because this little shoppe is more popular than it’s real estate and parking situation can account for, and as a connoisseur of good food, you know a place that’s packed and busy constantly can only ever be a GOOD thing! I find that if I want to get my order quickly, especially in the mornings or on weekends before 12pm, it is best to just call the posted phone number on google and call in your order as you are departing your home. Every time I call, my order is ready by the time I arrive (5-8 min car ride). I walk in, past the crowd of slow folk waiting or undecided, right up to the register and pay for my phoned in order that is waiting graciously for me on the counter. Even if I do not call in, it’s never usually longer than a few minute wait anyway. If you want to eat the best Taylor ham egg and cheese along with the one of the best bagels you have ever eaten, please give this place a try. I can imagine a [dreadful] day where I no longer live nearby, and I will still crave this location. It might even be worth a more extended trip out of your way if you are truly a fan of the BEST! Read moreTerrible customer service.. NEVER ORDER ONLINE FROM HERE!!
I ordered online last weekend at around 1:50pm (they close at 3pm), and my email confirmation said the order would be ready by 2:30pm. I show up to pick up my order around 2:40pm and the doors are locked. The guy cleaning behind the counter tries to shoo me away with hand motions saying they're closed. I told him I ordered online almost an hour ago and I already paid, I just wanted to pick up my order. He says they have no orders and they're closed. I go to show him my emailed receipt and he says "it doesn't matter we're closed." We go back and forth for a bit and then an middle aged woman comes over yelling that they have no orders and they have no food left to make any orders. I simply ask for a refund and show her that my credit card was charged already. I asked her why an hour ago no one called me or emailed me (since my order required a phone number and an email address) to tell me the order couldn't be fulfilled, and to that I was told it wasn't her job to do that. She says they didn't accept the order because they have no food? She told me she can't refund me, I have to contact the company that operates their online ordering. Mind you, it's still not 3pm.
So I call the customer service number on their website and speak with a woman who's response to the situation was that she's new and doesn't know what to do. She takes my name, phone number, and order confirmation number and tells me her supervisor will call me back. Here I am a week later still with the $19.47 charge on my card, still no return call from the online ordering service.
I WILL NEVER, EVER RETURN TO THIS JOKE OF AN ESTABLISHMENT..
YOUR SIGN ON THE DOOR SAYS 3PM, THAT MEANS THE DOOR DOESN'T GET LOCKED UNTIL 3:01PM!

Read moreUpdated Do Not Come Here. This place is now terrible and the bagels are no longer good. The bagels were the one thing holding this place together. Staff is disorganized and annoying. They act like its your privilege to be there... breakfast sandwiches are thin and meh. Ask for double cream cheese if you absolutely must go here because you have no other options. This place also goes by "Breakfast Beauties" on Uber Eats. They charge $14 with tax for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. They have these pictures that look like these HUGE gloruous sandwiches and it's nowhere close. The site says eggs (plural) your sandwich comes with 2 strips of bacon, one egg and one slice of cheese. no option for salt/pepper and ketchup is a $1 upcharge. Also ordered everything bagel and they gave a plain. They have a bowl of freshly cooked hash browns but what came was a microwave hash brown patty. I had to look up where it was located and found that it was here. Other reviews confirm it. The fact that they're purposefully deceiving people with this side business and charging double/triple what they do in store will be reported.
Also look at the responses to other bad reviews. They act like they don't know how these online orders are happening and will respond with things like "come in the store and talk with a manager". TRUST ME that's the last thing you want to do. You will NOT be met with the same friendly attitude that's being pretended online. I've been in store when someone was upset about their catering order and it was a few sentences away from a...
