Public Storage — Attraction in Mt. Lebanon

Another disappointing situation with Public Storage. It’s great that they have made things temp controlled and secure, but I’m so tired of them getting you into a unit. and raising it $100+ over the year. I have been a customer at this facility when it first opened, and was Beyond Storage. Many, many issues with security and temp control, after Public Storage took over, but now I am faced with $100 increase for the year on my one unit, and the timing is perfect, as I just lost a job. Now, I’m going to be put in the stressful situation of moving out to a better storage facility that doesn’t raise the rent 4X per year. As a life long resident of Mt. Lebanon, I will be sure to make them all aware of what they are getting in to when they start that low rate. I did, however, appreciate them helping me when there was absolutely NO SECURITY IN THE BUILDING, and ABSOLUTELY NO TEMP CONTROL. Thank you very much for helping me get compensation for your lack of providing the major standards that we were paying for.

Boo!!! Ump this place! The facility itself is fine. But they more than dbl the rent after a few months. And the gate code doesn't work after 9PM. That counts for leaving as well. I tried to leave one night at 9:02 and I couldn't get out. The customer service operator yelled at me and told me I needed to call 911. She said she could only control the gate and I told her that was what I needed that I needed her to open the gate so I could get out. She wouldn't help and eventually she hung up on me. It took 6 text chats and 5 phone calls to get a human that understood and he said, oh I can open the gate. I was able to leave at 9:58... Also they have 5 carts and 3 of them are missing tread on the rear right wheel which makes them pull to the right. I wonder why it's the same wheel on all the carts... I digress... Easy to use this storage unit. I have the app with the door control into the building, which gives it security and ease. The facility is clean and well layed out. The elevators are central and large, so it is easy to pull in and unload. There are flat bead carts there for use (at no charge). The office never seems to be staffed as it has been a problem each time I go. But besides that, it is easy to rent online and pay, then have my own lock (Public Storage charges $20 for a lock). I prefer digital locks, but P.S. gave a keyed lock. The 5x5 unit is very small and I have to upgrade . I don't think the 5x5 has the depth of five feet and is impeded by a beam. I suggest inspecting the unit before renting because now I need to get a larger unit.
