I don't know what it is about this particular Giant Eagle, but they don't usually have what other Giant Eagles have. They always have some sort of problem. Like they don't have all the same brands as even smaller stores. They don't have certain gift cards that every Giant Eagle has. Once they were just completely wiped out of jarred beets. They have these really odd random lapses in product. Inventory much? I don't understand because it's not that small of a store. I try not to go here because of the issues. They do have an oddly large selection of ice creams and dairy-free ice creams. I should say I could give it 4 stars for that alone, but usually one needs more than a lot of ice cream. And the only other reason why there wasn't one or two stars: customer service was closed early when I got there. I approached a man in line with a Giant Eagle tag and asked him if he work there. He said he doesn't work back at the customer service desk , but he went back to take care of my issue for me. I realized as I left that he was probably only going into the line to buy something for his lunch break. This man went above and beyond to save my trip there. All I had to do at customer service was produce my receipt because four items rang up wrong. I thanked him and told him that there's a time limit on this and I didn't know when I would be able to get back there. He took care of the wrong price. I should just give him five stars. I know this sounds negative but I have to tell it like it is. It's not that bad. We are in America and we do have things in the store. But I'm disappointed in there 70% of the time and that's quite a high number. I never go in there to do a big shop. I'm not going to invest my time to try to do a big shop and wind up not getting half of things and have to do it again later. So I go to a different Giant Eagle. I can go in there to run in and pick up something if I'm lucky they have it. One time I was told by a lady at the customer service last summer I wasn't allowed to buy any gift cards after10 p.m. unless I had cash. I told her that this was not the policy with other Giant Eagles, and the policy with other Giant Eagle and get-go is just the opposite. You must have a credit card after 10 and cash is okay before 10. She insisted that she was right and I was wrong. So I went back home and I got cash and then when I went to the checkout lane with cash, the lady at the checkout lane said oh no you can't pay with cash after 10 p.m. for gift cards. I said I just left and came back to get the cash specifically because the blonde lady at customer service told me that I needed cash. The checkout lady apologized for the mistake, as she seemed truly understanding of how I had been put out. But I can tell she wasn't surprised. This review is supposed to be for the entire Shopping Center. But I don't know anything about the rest of the...
Read moreI've never liked their parking lot. It's one of those that has the diagonal parking spaces, which are harder to back out of. The way the store is laid out isn't much better. It's set up so that you have to enter in one doorway, then exit through another. Every isle seems to be packed with more stuff than usual. It's always crowded and the Isles seem to be narrower in this particular store. It's not my favorite Giant...
Read moreThere is a great deal of both shops and banks and it is in an area that is convinient for Heidelberg, Greentree, Mt. Lebanon and such. The reason I have it a 3 is that parking is terrible and people zoom through the parking lot lile its a highway! I have been hit once up there backing out of a spot and have witnessed many others. In the end its a nice plaza but they should have set it up differently so there isnt as...
