Fremont Public Library — Attraction in Mundelein

This place has been my favorite pass time since I couldn’t walk. The staff members couldn’t be nicer to me and are very enthusiastic about their jobs! The activities they do are absolutely fantastic! I love the teen programs and how the provide pizza and occasionally cookies. It is a nice, cool, laid back place as soon as you walk in the door. It’s so easy to check out and return books or movies! I have never had an issue here, as far as I can remember. Very organized books and movies, along with many resting places if you need to study or just relax and read! But not too book-oriented, as there are perfectly running conputers that provide you with headphones and strong WiFi! Your little ones will absolutely adore this place! There is a little play area just for them with a fun kitchen set, a wide selection of books, and so much more! Fantastic sanitation where I can come in whenever I want to and relax with a good book and not worry about kids running around me since they are in their own little world. I really like the open space of this library immediately upon walking in. It is fresh, modern, clean, and bright. Organized and well-stocked shelving lends to the inviting atmosphere. Many different types of seating for people of different ages and abilities. However, the children's section has a tendency to be louder than most other libraries' children's sections. On more than one occasion, screaming and whining can be heard and was very disruptive. The staff need to moderate the noise level better by acknowledging its visitors' needs, or maybe it is up to parents to be more aware of their children's behavior and how it can distract others in what is supposed to be a quiet space for...

Amazing library. I've lived a number of places and libraries have always felt depressing and as if they are only for people without internet. Which is great, but this place is so much more! Amazing selection. Very helpful staff and enough of them that you don't have to seek them out. They do a ton of great events. The movie and video game selection is pretty unbelievable too. Online account makes it super easy to renew or place a hold on stuff. Plus their inter library loan system can get you most anything, unless you're researching something pretty obscure. Frankly, if I'm paying taxes for something, I want to want to use those services....
