I personally love Cannonsburgh, and when my sister told me that's where she wanted to get married I was ecstatic! She called them on Feb 2nd and was told that they had availability from 5-9pm on the 27th of may (set wedding date) but that we couldn't get there early to decorate because they had an event prior to that time. Then on Friday the 10th, she called to remind them that she would be there on the 15th to sign the contract and pay the deposit but no one answered so she left a voicemail letting them know. Yesterday, Rachel called her back even though Tammy was who she spoke with initially, and left a voicemail saying she would be glad to see her on the 15th and that she will be there around 9am-4pm but takes lunch from 12-1pm and to stop by and they would get the contract done and pay the deposit so everything will be taken care of for the 27th of May. HOWEVER, she just left there furious because they are now saying that they have an event booked from 12-4 and are legally no longer allowed to rent after hours. If it is illegal, why was that not mentioned before? How could they fail to mention that detail over the course of 13 days?! I hope someone gets with her or myself to solve this issue. Although it is not very interactive, and it doesn't begin to match larger early American village settings such as Williamsburg or the Jamestown Settlement, it does offer a small scale view of what some of the local pioneer businesses, one-room school, an early American home, and town hall might appear to be like--all in a...
