So this was my first time visiting/fellowshipping here. I enjoyed the service EXCEPT for when I got a restricted call from someone at this church leaving me a prayer over the voicemail and then calling Me a He. This is so sad and tragic, like WHY in the world world you First call Me restricted, Second leave a Religious "drive- thru" Prayer on my voicemail, when my Need requires MORE THAN A VOICEMAIL PRAYER, and Thirdly calling Me a Man when I'm a Woman????? Then when I called this church to speak with the correct Spiritual Leadership about this situation the female goes to make excuses for the person who chose to reach out to me the wrong way and then she started getting an attitude because I said "No, this was all done wrong and this is never the way to operate as a Leader especially "in the Church" then She religiously asks Me would I like to come up to their Church to meet and speak with one of the Spiritual Leaders about this as if I actually am in a position and able to do that and O said to Get "That's the reason that I left such a detailed message on the cats that you all have is full of about my situation that I'm going through that required the Spiritual Leaders to actually reach out to me and call Me not on a restricted block phone number". So She says with her Religious Attitude "Okay, well we'll keep you lifted up in our prayers". I'm like "with Religious Vessels like these I'd be better off Strategically praying for Myself" because I know personally my prayers will get answered and the correct biblical things will manifest because I don't choose to be Religious Minded but in Relationship with God. I'm so beyond fed up with these Religious minded, totally opposite of what Jesus did and would do Christians. You're rarely coming across Believers in these Churches that are ACTUALLY living, applying, functioning, operating, and manifesting like what God showed us in the Bible. I mean: what's the use of wasting or choosing to invest your time that you don't get back fellowshipping anywhere at a church when the Majority are still choosing to be "Religiously Blind" like these??? You may as well forget the Church and keep having your Personal Relationship with God and go from there while figuring life out down...
Read moreI think I should start off by saying that I came to this church during a difficult time, when I have been feeling depressed and anxious. I want to find natural ways to heal myself from within and maybe build a relationship with God. One that would help me through times such as this. People have always recommended that I try The Experience and I had high hopes. I was excited. But yesterday, (8/11/19) the pastor made some seriously toxic statements about medications and mental health. To make a blanket statement about people not needing their medication and shaming an entire church full of people for using life saving medicine is the scariest thing I think I have experienced in a church. There are people out there who have serious mental health disorders. It is so dangerous for a man who has that many people's ears to condemn modern medicine. Hearing his statements about Jeffrey Epstein were also deeply disturbing and very hard to grasp. I am not sure the point he was trying to make with saying his wife cried for Epstein. Hell was made for him. And I don't think the Lord would disagree. They also quoted Jesus when he said that if you misguide the youth, you should commit suicide. And Epstein did much worse than just misguid them. Very contradictory. I really enjoyed the singing and all the songs were very moving. I was almost in tears during the worship. I felt so good about this sermon when it started. I felt so close to God. This pastor really ruined that for me. He was a huge disappointment and created a toxic environment. It is absolutely not his place to tell anyone what medications they should be taking. He is not a doctor. Please do not let this place shame you. If you have to take medication to be okay, you are not any less of a person. And I love you.
Edit: Any time I’ve talked to anyone about this Church in the years since, they’ve been like “OH yeah, they are like that about medicine.” 🤷🏼♀️ Let’s not try to trick people into going to our church. Let’s be open and honest and up front. Let’s let people decide if they agree with your beliefs and want to join you....
Read moreI have been attending this church for about a year & a half and my only regret is that I didn’t come here sooner. I am amazed at how a large church can have such a community feeling. I attended the NEXT class which is where our pastor Corey Trimble shares his testimony & they give you a tour of the church. I have never attended a church which is so transparent about their finances, you will know what your tithe & offerings are going to at The Experience. I have taken the FOLLOWING JESUS class and was blessed by it, not only did it cause me to make changes in my own life it helped make me more transparent with others. I have taken the AUTHENTIC DISCIPLESHIP class and was able to take it with three people that were in my Following Jesus class who became my first Christian friends in the area (I had been praying for God to send me some Christian friends but hadn’t made an effort to get to know anyone, when the classes broke into small groups it helped me get to know people in a real way and not just a quick hello). During the Discipleship class I began volunteering at a local women’s shelter, one week there is no class you volunteer instead. I am still volunteering there currently and am so glad that my church introduced me to the opportunity. I currently volunteer at our 11am service each week with Emerge which is our ministry for children with special needs, it is an awesome opportunity! You can wear whatever you are comfortable in to service, some people dress up and a lot of people dress casual. Our church has 4 services: Saturdays at 5pm & 7pm Sundays at 9am & 11am If you want to be blessed through worship, fed by the word of God and meet a community of nonjudgmental Christians then you have...
