The DCI event was amazing. But the vendors ran out of water. People were fainting from the heat. I would give more stars if this was the first time, but it wasn't, they ran out of water last year too. They did not have a procedure for groups that had to split up to get into the stadium. We had handicapped students with us. The handicapped students had to come in a different entry. After the other students were logged in, our band director came to let us in the handicap accessible door near the elevator. The band director had already scanned himself in at the other gate, he just needed to scan the three of us in. The gate keeper kept trying to scan for four and asked where our stamp was. We asked him where are we to get the stamp; he didn't know. We told him it's just three not four. It took ten minutes trying to get him to understand the procedure, I had to use my military voice my dad taught me to get him to listen. The elevator is very small, only one wheel chair and two people could fit. Access to the bathrooms is difficult. Access to food and drink were horrendous. The lines were long and chaotic, you could not see what line you were in for what product or if it was a line TO anything. The volunteers were as kind and pleasant as they were able but more training and procedural instructions are needed. I met one person who waited thirty minutes for EMTs to assist with hydration...
Read moreI went for a DCI event and it was terrible. The concessions were completely inadequate. They apparently ran out of water. I was in line for over an hour--never made it to the window. I eventually gave up because I literally missed half the show. I got to my seat at the beginning of intermission and got to see half of it at least.
The DCI event itself, the performers...etc. were all great. But the stadium was awful awful awful. I don't know if they are just terrible at basic functions, terrible at planning for events with known numbers of ticket sales, or they just didn't care? Either way, they should be ashamed. Go at your own risk. I can only imagine it's worse if the stadium is actually full for a game or some...
Read moreBeen here on 2 occasions, one as a student for a CUSA Championship game and the other as working media for TheCFBNetwork. I really got a chance to explore the facilities due to a severe weather delay and for a G5 school it is definitely a good one. Good amenities in the luxury suites, good views all around. Just have to deduct a star because of the rest of the stadium feeling a bit bare bones and just a couple minor interactions with staff that just left a bad taste in my mouth due to rudeness. Other than that this is a good stadium to watch a game at, and with the new renovations in place shows the school’s priority to further improve the...
