I contemplated writing this review because I do not want to complain or post negatively about any small business. Although what I will say is not positive, I want to provide this feedback to help the business improve.
I purchased oloyin beans (honey beans) from this store that were unknowingly infested with weevils. I did not notice until I began seeing many of them in my pantry. My husband and I throughly cleaned the pantry, throwing out any open food items. The beans I purchased from this store were not used, but there were hordes of weevils inside the package. We threw them out immediately. It has taken some work to get rid of the weevils, and we’ve seen a great reduction in their numbers. However, we decided to have a professional pest control service come treat our home so that they can be completely eliminated.

They walked off as they spoke and referenced my likeness. I got it, I was not welcomed.. I was trully disappointed.Good...
Read moreI was getting a haircut at Nexgen when I noticed a something new had opened. Went to check it out and it is an African & Caribbean Grocery called Global Star Market that opened last week. I met the owner Abraham who is from Africa and has lived in Murfreesboro for 10 years now. He took some time to tell me about the grocery, the different foods they are offering, and how certain products are used…he was such a pleasure to talk to and learn from. It is always interesting to see how global food companies market different products and use interesting marketing terms…like Heinz calling a dressing “zingy” LOL. Go visit with Abraham, there are a lot of interesting products you could use in your...
