Main Street Murfreesboro Saturday Market — Attraction in Murfreesboro

I awoke early enough and parked on the square Downtown Murfreesboro,TN right across the street from market vendors! The shoppers not crowded at 7:30 am. Outstanding vegetables locally grown, bell peppers in Red, Green, and great quantities and sizes as well as squash, cucumbers, and more! Wooden hand made crafts toys for my 9 month old Grandson, flowers, Honey aplenty , baked goods I bought cookies , Zucchini beads, banana bread and many more! Coffee stand, meats had 2 stands, and yard art too. I was impressed with peaches and bought 2 ears of corn too. It is a must visit for me monthly if not as needed....

Great selection of produce. However, it’s very overcrowded with no bathrooms. Dogs are literally everywhere. If you have a baby or toddler in a stroller, beware that dogs will try to lick them in the face and get up in their strollers. I don’t know why animals are welcome to an event that is already difficult to walk thru due to overcrowding. Everyone is not a dog/animal person! Some people are allergic to animals. All dog owners are not responsible and do not keep their dogs on a short enough leash to control what they are doing. I did not enjoy having random dogs licking my legs as I walked...

I love this farmers market! It is the biggest farmers market in Rutherford County. Vendors are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Produce is gorgeous! You can find anything you need from fruits to vegetables, meat, bakery ideas. Jams, jellies and honey 🍯. It is very HOT! It is a dog friendly event which I love seeing all the cute dogs.
