Very cool park definitely good slides just be careful the one slide that is partially not covered is very steep at the end and two of the younger kids. 5 and under hit their face on the side at the bottom. Definitely fun as an adult or maybe middle school or at least 6 and older. But very cool park they have a nature walk and a cool life size tank and really just a really nice park and fun playground for the kids. Really neat parent baby (double swing where you swing and your baby faces you in a different baby swing. Super cute and a great photo opportunity.

We stopped here to let our toddler play on our way to Houston. Half the playground is shaded by trees so it wasn't too hot for her to play on at 4 in the afternoon. There were benches in the shade for me and my husband to sure on. We didn't explore the rest of the park, but the playground was very nice! Update 2023: unfortunately we stopped here again and the park seems to have no maintenance. Cobwebs covered the slides and trash littered the ground. Very sad for a nice playground.

Depending on the hours you visit this park you will either have a nice peaceful time or will need to pack a pistol. There is a pretty shady neighborhood right behind the park and people are known to come here for sex favors and drug use. Especially during the later evening to early morning hours. This takes place mainly in the area to the far right side (if you are looking at the park from the soccer field). However my family has had reunions there for years (down at the area to the left) and have had wonderful experiences with that so just be aware of the time of day and your...

Driving through on my way to Houston, needed a long break from driving and decided to search for the top-rated park in Nacogdoches. This is it.

Maintenance is needed, especially roads and the pavilion where vandals knocked down walls. Lots of garbage on the ground too. Looks to me like people might toss it on the ground rather than walking to one of the many garbage cans.

On the plus side there are beautiful mature trees, a nice playground for kids, and an old military tank that seems oddly out of place but novel for a...
