Absolutely horrible I do not understand how these reviews are anything other than a one . On their very best day this restaurant I don't think could have impressed me. The place was outdated dirty when we were seated the chips came out stale the salsa was enchilada sauce out of a can disgusting however the sweet tea was quite delicious from there we ordered the Tex-Mex enchiladas three soft tortillas nothing spectacular store-boughtroom temperature chicken with the bone fragments shredded up inside again in the enchilada sauce topped with canned nacho cheese, if I had to guess off-brand.... in a flour tortilla wrapped up with a small portion of old sticky bland rice and canned refried beans 1 iceberg lettuce leaf cut into three with one Roma tomato slice on top . We were seated drinks were brought order was taken food was brought And that was the end of that we were not checked on drinks were not refilled we were not asked if we were satisfied at any point...And this was about 1:00 in the afternoon so at 12.99 a late and 3.99 per iced tea x2 seemed to be extremely hefty prices for the amount of food not to Benton the quality 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 i'm so disgusted with the service but especially the quality of the food.. And no matter which way you do the math if you add up the two meals and the two drinks doesn't come anywhere close to $40 which is what my tab was when I asked why I was told because using my debit card cost me extra there was no sign that said so nor was I informed before the transaction was made. Considering that no one came to the table to drop off the check we walked to the register to pay the bill we were just ready to go so I didn't think to look at it figured our bill would be about $30 but it was $10 more absolutely disgusted will never go back ever ever go back shame on you...
Read moreFor context, I'm Latino and have eaten Mexican food all over Texas and in Mexico. Trust me when I say the food tastes like a 10 year old cooked it for their little siblings.
Breakfast was awful. We found this place based on the Google review score :(. We came in on a Sunday morning and the place was empty. That should have been the first sign to leave.
We ordered a chilaquiles plate, a machacado plate, and 2 coffees.
The coffee was too watered down. The chilaquiles had almost no salsa roja on them, and the machacado was flavorless, greasy, and didn't have any veggies in it. The beans tasted bad too. The potatoes were the best part of the meal, but were also flavorless. It feels like this restaurant could do well to practice using more seasoning or even salt.
I'm mostly just mad the reviews were so high for a place that is obviously not good. Maybe it's just their breakfast that is bad, but I won't be coming back...
Read moreThis is the best, authentic, and very flavorful Mexican food we have tasted in a LONG TIME!The place is small and cozy...not cramped at all and the entire staff is very friendly and very sweet! We were served chips and DELICIOUS salsa as an appetizer, and I am a person who does not like salsa at all, but I devoured the entire dish with the chips! Trust me... it is that awesome. So then the meal came. We ordered three different plates. And we all tasted each other's and it was fantastic! We tried the burrito which was smothered with cheese and delicious! We also had the gorditas which is a thick corn tortillas stuffed with cheese, meat, onions and all other kinds of goodies! We also had the fajitas and they were tender and very good!
Trust me this place has wonderful food and it has a nice family feel to it. If you like REAL MEXICAN food, not Tex-Mex, but authentic Mexican...this is the...
