TLDR: Had a bad experience and wanted to cancel my membership, spoke with Nicole from Trinitas and reconsidered cancelling.
I have been trying to cancel my years-long membership since this past Saturday. Here's why:
I don't exactly live close to Napa, but close enough to where I prefer to pick up my shipments every quarter. I had a range event in Richmond, so I figured I'd shoot up to Napa before heading home. I realize I was not dressed nearly as nice as I normally would when I'd go to Trinitas, yet I was only picking up my wine. IMO, gas is too high now to make a separate trip out to Napa.
Anyhoo, I walk in wearing jeans, hoodie, crocs (I changed into them to drive), N95 mask, and shades. My helper (I later learned her name is Kim) looked me up and down but wasn't rude about it. She took my name and left to collect my wine. I noticed a woman in red standing across the bar scowling at me and she tried to smile. She walked over to me to ask me if I was being helped and I politely said yes. Someone else came across the room to ask me if I was being helped. I said yes. I'm starting to wonder where Kim is with my wine. After a bit she comes out with my wine, hands it to me, I sign for it, and she walks off with my information on the iPad on the counter. I realize I need to change my address, so I wait until she's done attending to the patrons on the patio and I flag her down. I tell her what I need and she repeatedly tells me "We don't need it since we don't ship [your wine]". I pushed back but she wouldn't let me change my address. I left with my wine after asking her to clear my information from the iPad (she started walking away leaving it unattended again), and was halfway to American Canyon when I realized my billing address is ultimately why I needed to change my address. I called twice on my way home and attempted to leave two voicemails (I believe the second one was successful) and have been trying to call all morning to no avail. I would not have left this review if someone had just answered ONE of the phone calls I've made over this weekend.
My one membership is probably just a drop in the bucket for Trinitas since their wine is exceptional and I've never experienced anything like this anytime I've visited, yet I thought they'd like to know how their staff treat people who don't "seem to belong". Like I said, I had been outside for four hours prior yet I wasn't dirty and was only doing a pickup. I was already self-conscious about my appearance so I had no intention of staying any longer than I had to. I'd like my membership cancelled. ASAP.
UPDATE:
Just spoke with Nicole from Trinitas (she received my voicemail) and she was very empathetic about my experience. I really do enjoy enjoy their wines and events, so I reconsidered cancelling my membership as long as this doesn't prove to be a...

Came to Trinitas for another Super Bowl Sunday experience. Tony no longer works in the tasting room. He's in outside sales. But we still had a great time tasting wines. We ended up buying 3 bottles this time.
Note, the tasting room is no longer in the Meritage Hotel and Spa. It is in the new center across the street. There are 5 or 6 other wineries with tasting rooms in the same plaza so you can sample MANY wines in the same spot.
Had an amazing experience here on Super Bowl Sunday. We stopped in around 3pm and we were the only people there. Exactly the reason why we come on the day of the big game. Wineries are slow and you can get personalized attention.
Tony was absolutely phenomenal. We explained the types of wines we like and he tailored an experience of tastes that was exquisite. We have just begun to really get into red wines in the last few years. Tony listened to us and had us taste wines that I wouldn't have necessarily thought I would like but everything we had was delicious.
We ended up buying a bottle of their El Dorado Zinfandel. I've never considered joining a wine club before because I never thought it would be worth the money. But I just might join Trinitas' club.
If you are coming to Napa you MUST come to Trinitas. Hopefully Tony is working the day you visit. Great wine,...
Read moreThe name Trinitas (Latin for “Trinity”) immediately evokes the Christian mystery of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the case of Trinitas Cellars, this is more than branding — the winery sees itself as uniting sun, soil, and humanity (a trinity of nature, earth, and the vintner’s hand). Moreover, the Busch family behind Trinitas are publicly Catholic, and the winery has intentionally pursued faith-inspired wine projects (for example, wines honoring Mary or with Catholic symbolism). In that sense, tasting a Trinitas wine can feel like a small liturgy — a moment of aesthetic, sensory, and spiritual union. Truly a unique winery to visit while in Napa, from the beautiful grounds, to the amazing wines and their unique history and wine labels. This is truly a one of a kind winery! Gerry was amazing and knew his wines. Such a great guy who made our experience fantastic.
With that in mind, let us pour, pray, and reflect.
Cheers and God...
