GEN 7 Wines — Restaurant in Napa

The ladies at Gen 7 are amazing! We were a few hours early for a show and wanted a bite to eat before the show. We first went into the establishment next door, which I will not name but it's all pink inside. We asked if they had any food and he said they were told not to serve any to the concert goers so that we would only buy food from the one food truck that the concert promoters had there. That's tricky because the location is off-site from their Main Street location and they asked the business' at the off-site location to not serve food to the concert goers. Anyway, Gen 7 was so accommodating and kind, we ended up having a couple glasses of sparkling Rose and the charcuterie board and great conversations with the 2 ladies at Gen Z. Tim, the owner had made a call into the tasting room because other guests were having issues getting in. I was so impressed with Gen 7 and Tim's customer service that I had to write about it. We checked into the Meritage across the street late and knew that most wineries would be closed...

A quick Google search later and everything was pointing to Gen7. The great reviews and the fact that they were open until 7pm, it was worth a shot.

Well, shot hit target! Great wine, atmosphere as well as conversation with the staff. Even the owner/wine maker Tim, gave my family and I a quick history of how Gen7 came to be.

I walked into gen 7 today and could immediately feel unwanted. I handed the guy a voucher we had for a 2 for 1 tasting and was excited to try the wine. Right as I handed the voucher he handed it right back and made my husband and I feel bad for wanting to use the voucher. I bought a glass of wine at $16 for what I feel was high for my experience. I am disappointed in the way the guy handled his customers. I honestly don’t feel I ever want to go back for the way I felt.
