After coming here for many years I won’t be coming to this location any more as I don’t like being discriminated and treated less than others due to the fact my skin color is different . I went to this store this evening as I been looking at a necklace for a while now and was planning to just get it today. I went to the jewelry counter and the young lady was assisting someone else as I waited I left grabbed some earrings from next to their jewelry counter can back meanwhile she assisted someone else then somelady stood at the jewelry check out with a cart full and this young lady instead of helping me as I have been there for a while started checking her stuff (cart was full top to bottom)was taking her time and talking about the cookies she was buying and I waited and waited this young lady was aware that i been waiting and looked at me and continued talking with her, so I shook my head and decided to go look around and come back, walked around grabbed 3 clothing items and came back to see the necklace the young lady was putting something away and walked up to her and asked that I have earrings and 3 items and if she can check me out and she replied even though there was no line at the front and i should go there , I said why as I saw you checking the other lady out who had a lot of stuff so she replied that she doesnt have too as they do sometime but dont at times and I walked telling her I clearly see how they treat people differently. went to the front off course there was a long line finally decided to take a pic and once I got to the check out and told the lady at the register what happened and she called the manager who for some reason wasnt coming out this lady had to leave her register to get the manager and she came and asked me how she can help and I asked her whats their policy of checking people out at their jewelry register and she couldnt answer me and i still told her what happened and she said she is sorry and walked away to my dissatisfaction. I was hoping that she will say something more to make me feel better as I was feeling bad that maybe I dont look the part many feelings going through my mind. I will not go back to...
Read moreMy mom and I come here almost every Wednesday on my lunch break, But lately I have not been wanting to go & Find different stores. It’s a nice store, but the level of harassment about the store card is ridiculous. It takes more time to get checked out because of them literally ARGUING with you about it. I hate coming to this location. It’s getting to the point where if my mom really wants to go, I just won’t buy anything because the persistence about the store card & them not taking “I don’t want to use my card today” makes me really anxious and uncomfortable. I already HAVE the card, but they still harass me about it. One visit I told the cashier that I have the card, she asked me why I’m not using it - I told her I’m paying it off right now & this woman has the nerve to ask me “Well, when’s the last time you made a payment?” EXCUSE ME? They’re getting very invasive. No, is a complete sentence. The staff here needs to learn harassing guests over a store card is very unprofessional. This is also the ONLY location I’ve been to that does this. whoever the manager is reading these reviews - please teach your staff the meaning of...
Read moreI love T.J Maxx and I have come here all the time. Recently I bought a Nespresso machine and one of the staff was trying to put the box in the T.J Maxx shopping bag for me during checkout.
Another staff joined her to help! then she looks at me and goes - “This box won’t fit in this bag, if u want I can get you a trash bag!” Firstly- I am not needed as a customer to know the sizes of T.J Maxx shopping bags, the worker there need to know it. Second-who talks like that ? Get the customer a trash bag? Third- when the customer is so civil and courteous with you, what makes you talk like that? I might choose another Tj maxx location. Please learn to speak to your customers and be courteous, irrespective of their culture or race or any other biases...
