If you're looking for a place where the coffee matches the sophistication of your taste in friends, look no further than MOTW. It’s the kind of spot where sipping on an Iced Pistachio Latte will have you questioning all your life choices (like, why on earth did you not discover this sooner?) and where ordering a Biscoff Latte feels like a perfectly justified indulgence because, let’s face it, we all deserve the finer things in life. But let's get to the real reason this place deserves a standing ovation: the food. A labneh bagel with za’atar? Yes, please! It’s the savory, herby hug you never knew you needed. And all those variations of milk cakes and croissants? Let’s just say they could make even the most stoic among us a little misty-eyed. Now, don’t even get me started on the refreshers. These aren’t just drinks; they’re an experience. I’m convinced they hold the secret to eternal youth, and if it were socially acceptable, I’d bathe in them. The owners—who are incredibly kind and hospitable—have even gone above and beyond by crafting caffeine-free versions for my kids. Talk about thoughtful! For those days when you need a little extra coziness, the fall latte is like a warm blanket woven from cinnamon, nutmeg, and autumn nostalgia. Or, if you're craving something with a little more exotic flair, the date cardamom latte will transport you straight to a desert oasis, where the spices are as comforting as a secret shared with a close friend. Whether you're meeting friends for a lively book club discussion or enjoying the peaceful solitude of solo work, MOTW has this uncanny ability to create the perfect atmosphere for whatever you’re up to. There’s also some great tea on the menu—and by "tea," I mean both the kind you sip and the kind you overhear in the most delightful conversations happening all around you. In the end, it’s the kind of place that feels like a local gem, even if everyone in town already knows about it. Highly recommend it for your next caffeine fix, casual hangout, or existential crisis (trust me, the pistachio latte might just have the answers).

My sister and I stopped by this coffee shop yesterday. This part might not matter to some, but my 14 year old dog passed away yesterday and I was distraught and needed out of the house...so we chose MOTW because we had never been. When we went in and ordered, the staff were SO kind. I'm sure I looked like a mess...I had my baby with me and I ordered in somewhat of a daze. They were just very friendly regardless of that and I appreciated the kind customer service of each employee. I ordered a seasonal coffee drink, the apple pie latte, a spinach empenada with Sriracha aioli, and a blueberry muffin for my baby. My sister also got a latte, I can't remember which one but I believe it had cardamom in it? Either way, she loved it. The service was quick...they had many unique options for coffee flavors, but also more "traditional" flavors if you aren't into taking flavor risks. I love that there are seasonal options that change. My coffee was sweet but not too sweet, with just the right amount of apple pie flavor vs. Coffee flavor. The empenada was DELICIOUS, and they gave the option for the aioli I got or mango chutney to go with it...plus many other options. They offer halal foods if you eat halal. They had a lot of bakery items as well that I will have to go back and try. They have a water dispenser and I used that for my baby to drink with her muffin. Easy parking in the lot out front, lots of open seating and easy to bring a stroller in. There were people studying/working while there and also friends just sitting and chatting while enjoying coffee. I will go back and I highly recommend trying this place out. Thank you for the kindness and the good experience!

Was finally able to give MOTW a try after being on my radar for over a month now and am happy to have found a new good coffee option in the Naperville/Plainfield area. This is a big open cafe that had lots of available seating on a late saturday afternoon and offers a nice variety of drinks and food. I'm not the biggest fan of pumpkin but I went on a limb and ordered the Pumpkin Pie White Mocha off their seasonal menu and it is one of the better fall flavored lattes that I have had this year. They don't overdo it with the sweetness or spices so it was a nice balanced drink pick me up. I hadn't had lunch so the baked empanadas in the pastry case were just calling to me when I placed my order. Although the butter chicken sounded the most interesting I ended up going with the halal beef, bacon, egg and cheese. The staff offered to warm it up and also some sauce options: a sriracha aioli or mango chutney. The aioli seemed like the obvious choice but I opted for the mango chutney for some reason but this ended up being a great move as the breading and really took on an even more tasty breakfast quality with the sweet tang of the mango added. The filling in the empanada was also notable: A few nice sized strips of well seasoned beef wrapped in fluffy scrambled eggs and cheese with bits of bacon too. All in all the food and drinks were good but I did feel that the price point was still a bit high. More so for the empanada than the drink though. Staff were also nice and I liked the relaxed environment so I will more than likely be stopping into MOTW again in the future.
