Do not leave personal belongings unattended or they will get stolen. Make sure at least one person stays behind at your spot on the beach or you'll experience theft. Make sure one person stays behind at your parking spot while another party pays the machine as the overzealous beach patrol will ticket you in the 5 minute gap between parking and paying the machine.
Hands down, the absolute selling point of Lowdermilk Park is the Tiki hut experience. Available at no charge, the Tiki huts are provided on a first come, first serve basis. I would strongly recommend you arrive early as this amenity is in super high demand. If you are unlucky at arrival and all the huts are taken, I would recommend sitting near the back of the shoreline so one can be grabbed when you observe a party collecting their belongings to leave the park. The Tiki huts are low profile and provide 100% sun protection at almost every part of the day, with the sunsets being the only exception. As visible in my photo, a beach blanket can be laid directly in front of your hut, allowing you to seesaw back and forth between soaking up the sun rays and seeking shelter when the blistering sun becomes too much to handle. Food and drinks are available at a city run snack bar, although hours seems to vary. In the event you do not have a Naples resident parking permit, parking pay machines are available. One nice feature is the option to add your cell number so you can be notified when your time is close to expiring. You can even add more time to the meter directly from your phone without having to leave the beach! How cool is that? Lastly, if you're a dolphin lover, Lowdermilk Park is the place for you. On multiple occasions, I have seen several groups of dolphins treading extremely close to the shoreline. With great amenities and a beautiful beach experience, this...

Lowdermilk Park is a gem nestled along the pristine shores of Naples. As a local favorite, it offers something for everyone. Here’s why I adore this beachfront oasis:
Beach Bliss: The powdery white sands stretch over 1000 feet, inviting beachgoers to bask in the sun, hunt for seashells, or wade into the calm, shallow waters. Tiki huts and beach umbrellas dot the shoreline, creating a picture-perfect scene.
Sunset Magic: Lowdermilk Park is where sunsets become poetry. Couples gather to witness fiery hues painting the waves, casting a romantic spell over the Gulf of Mexico.
Family-Friendly: With sand volleyball courts, a playground, and picnic tables, families can enjoy quality time together. Kids love exploring the duck pond and spotting leaping dolphin sculptures.
Amenities Galore: Restrooms, showers, and shaded picnic tables at Flip Flops Beach Grill make beach days comfortable. Plus, they offer beach rentals like chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards.
Accessibility: ADA beach access mats and rental beach wheelchairs ensure everyone can enjoy the sun and surf.
Remember, the water here is usually calm, but keep an eye out for occasional rough conditions due to winds and tides. And don’t forget your camera—the sunsets are...
Read moreThis beach had all the right fixing to be a great beach. The parking was not free, of course. But had a nice feel to it before hitting the sand. Clean restrooms, and a shower rinse off area. Playground for little ones and pavilions placed at the right spots. Benches for viewing the tall grass that barely allowed you to view the blue and green colors of the Gulf, almost a tease. Finally, made our way over the "boardwalk" and bam, what do I see..construction vehicles that push sand around. Not pleasant when placed in front of tiki huts along the back for sun protection. I did like that look but we weren't there early enough to grab one. So, once in the water I was certainly surprised by all of the awesome shells I found. Large amounts of sand dollars, and of all sizes and starfish and other things of God's creation. Happy to be in water without dead fish and the smell of the red tide. I did step on a few rather large pieces of cement rocks. Chalked it up to be from pushing the sand around. I'm sure it will be a 5 star beach after the sand and whatever else they are doing to the beach gets finished. Great beach for collecting tokens...
