DO NOT APPLY TO THIS "SCHOOL"! The only reason I gave this review one star is so that I could post my review. When I started researching schools I read the reviews for National College as well as some other colleges and thought that for the most part the reviews were pretty decent. Of course there is always someone who isn't satisfied for one reason or another but I decided to apply with National because of the location and their medical assisting program (certification) would only take 10 months to complete instead of 12 if I had chosen Remington instead . The only negative review for this school was from a former student who said that his/her grades had been lost due to an error with the school's administration and the he was not able to graduate or something to that effect. I chalked this up to someone not completing the work and failed and now wants to complain about it. I was wrong. Problems started before the beginning of my first term (which just ended and I am now going into my second term). I was unable to log into my student email which meant that I wasn't able to order books because technically my account didn't exist which I found out later was a "glitch" with the school's computer system. Also on that same day the majority of my financial aid documents well as some other students information had been "misplaced" so we were asked to resend confirmation emails to our admissions reps in order to validate that we had actually completed the forms in order for us to receive our financial aid. Long story short....the issue with my student email still has not been resolved (mind you the term started on May 2nd of this year). In one of my online classes I was not able to see some assignments because the instructor kept changing the due dates and I received zeros for the assignments which took almost a month for me to have access to them after sending numerous emails, phone calls, and messages to my admissions rep, student support, the campus director (who had only been there a week), the supervisor of student services and so on. I wasn't able to take one of my final exams because the instructor told everyone the wrong due date. It took the school 3 days to figure it out in order for me to take my exam. The end of the term was July 13th and all of my grades are lost due to some "grading issue." I am receiving notifications that I have received zeros on assignments that I have completed and passed. As of today the school is working on getting my final grades logged as so I'm told. If I could go back I would have never applied to this school. Honestly, I feel like I have made the biggest financial mistake of my life....and oh, I forgot to mention that around the 4th week after starting they sent notifications that they were increasing the tuition, books, and technology fee. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and apply to a school that is organized and knowledgeable about the programs they are using and are able to keep up with your personal information. At this school I feel as though my issues were and are not a concern to the staff here. I worked so hard during the first term to ensure that I passed every class (which I did) only to have the results of my hard work misplaced by carelessness and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this college, the first time around I was attempting my M.A. Degree, which at the time, you had a choice of earning an associates degree or a certificate. I chose the A.S and was met with my former teacher and Director having to resign. BIG drama, and I am still proud of the teacher and Director that resigned because it showed their integrity and ethic. I switched courses because we had no proper teachers. Then, when I still didn't have someone to guide me correctly, I went back and completed my R.M.A however, I still never received my Degree. They kept saying sorry, because their office turn over rate was ridiculous. I gave up trying to get it last year. So 4 YEARS still no M.A. Degree papers. When my youngest daughter she want to go medical too. I said 12 months at TCAT save the money and go. FAR FAR FAR Better. You will be a LPN AND you wont be in debt, because they do not do...
