Belle Air Mansion a Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Nashville-Davidson

A hidden gem for sure. I am glad we found this little charmer. While researching I knew it was right by the freeway so I expected noise however we did not hear much, we were a party of 3 in the Carriage House 1 and it was a delight. Very clean and comfortable, huge bathroom- also very clean and well kept. I had asked for a ew extra pillows on the online reservation and they were waiting for me when we got there- that was such a great thing as many places do not read that information. Check in was clear and easy- note its more of a self check-in which the website tells you and via AI but it works pretty well. The house is beautiful inside and out- loved walking around the house and admiring the historic items and charm. It was nice to have water bottles available and coffee/tea all day/night. Breakfast was amazing! The staff in the morning were so nice and took the time to have a small conversation with everyone. It is only served between 830 and 9 but again this is on the website so make sure you read all of the information. We also chose this location because it looked safe for our vehicles as they were loaded with stuff as we were moving our daughter to Texas and I was afraid of parking them just anywhere- the mansion/property is "hidden" within a lot of trees around the edge of the property which made it perfect! Even our uber driver had no idea this was a bed and breakfast- they thought is was someone's house. Plenty of parking, a short uber ride downtown. The only reason I gave 4 stars for location is that it is nearly impossible to turn left out of the driveway (which you do not have to do to get on the freeway or to go downtown), however everything else was perfect. I plan to stay here again...

The people that run this place are SO NICE! Just authentically kind and friendly. And very accommodating. The entire mansion is really cool to walk around and look at. The grounds are pretty and set up so people could have weddings here. The property itself and the rooms felt safe & secure. The location was great for us. Close to the grand ole Opry, the mall and lots of choices to eat. We took Ubers downtown & back. The surrounding area of the mansion is blocked off from everything else so the only people around were B&B guests. Which was great! I gave location 4stars instead of 5 because it’s right off a main road and next to the highway so you can hear the heavy traffic at times. However our room was at the front of the mansion so that may not be the case for the other rooms.

Our room and bathroom were clean and spacious! The shower and tub were great! It was pretty hot when we visited and the AC worked great in our large room (that’s a must for me!) They provided spa like robes that were so comfy! (I believe they offered massages and some other amenities but we didn’t partake)

My absolute favorite part of our stay was the breakfast. Quiet atmosphere, again, incredibly friendly!! We had a different breakfast all three mornings. We sat, grabbed ourselves some juice & coffee and were served plates. The food is made there in the kitchen that morning. You can smell it all cooking… The food was always hot, the fruit was fresh and the portions were a really great size.

Nashville was our first stop on our trip, we’re headed further east but we woke up on our last day and seriously debated staying longer just to stay at Belle Air! If we come back we’ll definitely stay here again &...

We stayed at the Belle Air Mansion on our way to Illinois from Virginia and are so glad that we did.||The Belle Air Mansion was originally built in 1832 and expanded in 1838. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. Unfortunately, it fell into disrepair and by 2014, it was listed as one of the nine most endangered historical places in Nashville. Luckily, it was purchased by Lewis and Connie James in 2016 and restored, and made into a Bed and Breakfast.||We stayed in the Captain's Room, in the retreat house, which is a separate building across the parking lot from the mansion. The room was small, but furnished with antiques and a small ensuite bathroom with a really nice shower. Even though the mansion is close to two main highways, we did not hear any road noise in our room.||The location is great because you are less than six miles from downtown Nashville, as well as several restaurants and shops closer by. Because it is just off of major highways, it is easy to locate.||The mansion has been restored to a beautiful bed and breakfast and you are able to go on a guided tour of the mansion after breakfast each day.|Breakfast is served in one of the main dining rooms of the mansion, or out on the large covered porch. It was a beautiful day, so we opted for eating on the covered porch. Breakfast consisted of homemade southern biscuits with sausage, a hash brown casserole that was absolutely delicious, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit (grapes and cantaloupe).
