The Atrium Restaurant inside the hotel was a very disappointing experience. Tonight I felt very discriminated against. I have had weight loss surgery and I can only eat 4-6 oz of food. I ordered off the kids menu, because that is all I can tolerate without eating without harming myself. The Bartender/ server “Carrie”mentioned “I’m not even supposed to let you order off of the kids menu.” I mentioned I have had weight loss surgery and she proceeded to allow me to make my order. Once I received my check I questioned to “Carrie” why was I charged for a beverage when it was included in the kids meal? She said she would take it off. But, then she mentioned again “ I wasn’t even supposed to let you order off of the kids menu.” Which made me very upset me. Because, I then again had to disclose my medical condition/ procedure. So I asked for the manager. “Hugo” the manager approached me. I explained to him I was offended that she has voiced twice that I was not allowed to order off the kids menu. And that I felt discriminated against and then again had to explain my medical procedure and that I am not physically able to eat an adult meal. So it is a waste of food for me order off the adult menu. I also mentioned that we were not checked on or offered refills once since we had had our food brought to the table. To which he proceeded to say “I’m just going to refund you, since you just want a free meal.” So now I felt as if he was saying I couldn’t afford my meal. I voiced “I do not want a refund, all I want is the second drink I paid for.” He continued to argue with me and my friend. I voiced I do not want a to argue or a refund, I would just like the issue resolved and not have to feel the way I am and that I would not be returning to this restaurant. We had to go over him and speak to a hotel manager to report the altercation and disrespect we have received tonight. I have never experienced an issue like this at a Marriot branded establishment previously. I am generally a very happy customer and I usually look past issues until they really upset me. I nor anyone else should not be treated this way by...
Read moreTraveling in and out of BNA, I like a hotel that has an airport shuttle. My prior preferred property had some issues on my last stay so I decided to try the Marriott Nashville Airport.
The hotel shuttle was prompt and easy to coordinate with a quick call to the hotel to request the shuttle...about 15-20 minutes and the shuttle was at the pick up area.
Check in was quick and easy...no suites at this property so no chance for a suite upgrade. The M Club is not open...possibly by the end of the year is what I was told.
My room was clean and ready for me to get some rest. The furniture and fixtures all modern and in good condition. Plenty of USB outlets for charging devices. Bathroom had shower without tub...all very clean. Thermostat was accessible and fully functional from the room.
Elite breakfast is included in the restaurant. The service was awkard...not sure if the staff is new or exactly why it seemed strained. A sign at the entrance says Wait To Be Seated but without a host/hostess the wait staff doesn't see people lining up at the sign. The waitress finally noticed the line of people and waived for each group to come to a table...much more professional to come to the guest instead of waving across the restaurant area. I was beckoned to a table and was asked for my drink order before I was seated...no cappucino or latte style coffee available in the restaurant. The waiter pointed and said Starbucks had those drinks. A full service Marriott should be able to offer all forms of coffee in the restaurant. Without a proper introduction or explanation of the buffet or menu I finally asked what comes with an elite breakfast. Finally, the waiter explained that the full buffet was available as well as made to order eggs. I asked for an omelette and then went thru the buffet. All of the food was good, the service is what could be "improved".
All in all a good stay. Free airport shuttle, clean room and fair nightly rate. I will return to this hotel for future stays when flying in or out of BNA.

Read moreWe booked a room and we're running a bit late for over 2 hours We had called the hotel and would receive no answer. I tried no less than 20 times when we arrived. They had said yes, they gave our room up, and we were signed up as a no show. We had the room booked for 3 nights when we showed up the next day, they said what they reported this as a no show, even though we were there extremely early, thefront desk person was horrible. He would not help he could have honored or reversed the no show since we were standing toe-to-toe in front of them. And he said, We should not booked it directly to him and not a third party and that he makes more money on a direct booking and a third party. So it's really no skin off his nose and basically, he kicked me out. Terrible So they had me their hotel office. I'm standing there face-to-face They won't honor my reservation and still want to charge me Full price, it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm standing up there in the lobby on time, and they count me as a no show. This should be fraud. It is fraud charging me for a room when I'm there. And not allowing me to stay in my room. There is no excuse. There's no reason there's no policy. It's garbage horrible people dishonest, I won't ever be staying at a marriott again ever. I even tried to show him my cell phone all The Times and different hours that I had called the hotel, and he just looked at me smugly arrogantly, and refused. It's like I tried to call you. I can prove that I tried to call you. You don't answer your phone for you over 2 hours. And uh, it's my fault. I show up there you reject my reservation.I don't even understand any of their logic. I'm posting the pictures just to prove that I was there. And before the times they would discredit or discount it as a no show. And yes these pictures are taken the day of my...
