I’d like to give this a higher rating especially because it’s so close to the neighborhood but unfortunately, I cannot.
Los Paisanos lacks in properly labeling their items with the not only the price itself but also CORRECT pricing. I went in yesterday and bought cheese that stated it was $4.99 per block and picked up 2 but at the register it rang up as $5.49. They tried to tell me that I was wrong until I had them go back there and check themselves and they admitted to me that I was correct but still did not change the price.
I then went in today and bought a different cheese that cost around $5.50 but AGAIN when I get up to the counter it charged me $6.99 per block.
For the love of all that is holy LABEL YOUR ITEMS CORRECTLY.
70% of the fresh produce/cheese area has no label with the prices and what is label is incorrect. I honestly don’t understand how hard it is to print out a sticker with the right pricing.
It almost has me believing that it’s like a lot of Hispanic stores where the pricing goes up for Americans while the other demographic pays a lower price (and yes I have seen this, many places do this with EBT).
Sure a few pennies more doesn’t seem like a lot at first but when you expect a $300 receipt and it ends up being $400-$450 then that’s were problems started to happen. On top of that the workers at the front know and will laugh (as they did to me) at you when you call them out on...
Read moreI had high hopes and wanted to love this place as I make a ton of Mexican food and they have everything I need in one place. But after my second time in and getting two ice creams from the ice cream counter and needing cash which I was not told when I ordered and no signs at all to specify that, I spent 20 minutes or so trying to find someone to translate where I could get cash back at for the poor worker who tried using a translator on their phone with no luck. I finally get to the ATM with a $3 fee and I accept it. My total was just over $15 (for two ice creams mind you) and I left the rest as a tip. When I get home I see on top of the $23 from the ATM I have another -2.50 fee from the ATM. That’s not my bank fee for using an outside ATM either. And it’s been 5 days and they are still posted. So just beware in case you’re put into this situation also. I will be looking for a new...
Read moreMy review is mainly on the restaurant side. Although I have found them to be extremely expensive in comparison to other places, they exaggerate on the food. I went to get a large rice and I was told it was $8. I found it to be expensive but I was hungry. Then I asked for a piece of chicken and I was told $12!!!!
That's $20 for rice and chicken. I could go to any restaurant and stuff myself with a speak fajita and a drink for less than that.
I know all that stuff about inflation and prices and all that but that's not what this is. This is people trying to take advantage of others. 1 pound of meat here is $13.99. Most places around that same meat is around...
