Visiting from out of town. Saw the one recent negative about being closed so i called ahead to make sure they were open. Upon arrival I was met by the owner so I asked again why someone would think they were closed 4 days ago. She said she had to go away for to tend to some business and was closed for 4 days (about 4 days ago). I hope Chris visits them again and has the ability to change his review. Thank you Chris on behalf of the owners. So the Donut Palace is open for business. They have a great variety of donuts, Apple fritters and other breakfast pastries. Absolute best donuts in Nashville! We drive 30 minutes to this donut shop - even though there are 10+ within a handful of miles from us. These are our absolute favorite donuts! They have a wonderful selection of cake and yeast donuts as well as breakfast sandwiches and you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose (I’ve tried most of them so I know!). The owners are wonderful, kind people who remember us even though we only visit once a month or so. My recent visit to Donut Palace was a mixed experience. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was out of this world. The combination of crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, and perfectly melted cheese was an absolute delight. However, the donut holes were a bit disappointing. They lacked the freshness and flavor I was hoping for. On the other hand, the maple bacon bar was a winner! It was light and fluffy, and the maple glaze was just the right amount of sweetness, with the added bacon providing a nice balance of salty flavor.
