Moved out a few years ago, and these were the worst apartments I have ever stayed in, and judging by other reviews, they might be worse. I am assuming most of the people who used to work there are long gone since the name has changed for maybe the fifth time that I know of. The units had mice, roaches, water damage, and barely functioning appliances.
It would be extremely difficult to get in touch with management. Calling or sending emails basically never worked, you had to show up in person during their limited office hours, wait in a long line, and then they would probably not help you in any way with your issue. If you needed a package, they almost always couldnt find it even though it was on their log, they just didnt know where it was because they didn't sort the packages in any way, just piled them up.
The office staff would lie in almost every interaction I would have with them. My oven didn't function correctly, so I asked for it to be fixed, only to be told that my oven isn't supposed to function the way I asked. When I showed them the manual and product number of my oven, they still lied to my face and said that I was mistaken.
Every few months they would try to charge me late fees for rent I paid, and I would need to get proof of the cashed check with their signatures on it to get them to take the late fees off. They threatened to evict me by telling me that I had a roach infestation in my unit, and only stopped threatening me when I invited them to show me the infestation, which did not exist.
When they did fix things, maintenance would often take weeks or months at the earliest. Things would expedited when I would cite rules from the state department of health or call the fire marshal about issues. Really basic stuff like non-functioning heaters, AC, screen doors on the balcony, broken fire alarms in the halls, etc.
They didn't provide enough parking for the residents around each building, so if you got home from work after 7 or 8, you would have to park very far away. Residents would park large work trucks and trailers in the limited parking to take up multiple spaces for single vehicles.
They installed a gate that required card to scan, and locks on the building doors to require keyfobs, but the gate almost never functioned and was often physically destroyed. When it did work, it only inconvenienced residents and food delivery people. The doors to the buildings were so heavy that they generally wouldnt close properly, and people leaning on them often broke them, so never once did I ever actually need my keyfob to enter the building.
I could go on for thousands of more words, but I will leave it here. Don't rent from here unless you have no...

This complex is without a doubt the NASIEST place I've ever lived in. I moved here in September of 2016 and broke my lease to move out 6 months later. I wish I would have done it sooner. !!!Bed!!!bugs!!!, cockroaches, rats, mice, and MAGGOTS. I had the "upgraded" 2 bedroom. Yeah... 'upgraded'. When I moved in my closet doors were broken off, my bed room door wouldn't shut, the guest room door wouldn't shut, the air conditioning until was falling out of the wall (they 'fixed' it by duct taping it back up), the kitchen AND bathroom sink were leaking and ruined everything I put under them, only 5 outlets total worked in the whole unit, I called about a piece of the apartment falling off during a storm and smacking my window/the power line and I'm not even sure if it ever got fixed because we moved out before anyone did (2 weeks prior), the list could go on and on but I won't bore you with the details that you can obviously see through the photos of this trashy place.
I would say that the company, BH managment, was at fault for everything that went wrong during our short time there.... BUT! Maybe it's just the land that's cursed. Since we broke the lease we have to pay a fee of $1080 and that's totally okay with me. Anything to get out of that dump. I tried to sign in online to pay it when it was due(May 1st) I was unable to sign in because BH Managment decided to jump off the sinking ship. I don't blame them, there's no saving that place. I called what I knew as 'Summit at 860' and a friendly voice answered and said "The Ellington!" She explained that there had been a switch and then I explained my dilemma. I no longer live in Tenneesee, so the only way to pay my bill is to do it online. She apologized and said that she would have her manager call me ASAP because she had no way of telling me how much money I owed them? So everyday I called back and I always got the same answer. "We are having technical issues but we can let our manager know you called" I DONT CARE IM JUST TRYING TO GIVE YOU IDIOTS MONEY! I'm ready to throw thousands of dollars that you don't even deserve in your face and no one can tell me the exact dollar amount I owe?!
I can't even send a paper check through USPS because I don't know the exact dollar amount. So now here I am 5 days after the due date racking up late fees for the most horrible, disgusting, and repulsive place I've ever lived in because the staff doesn't know how to do their job. So thanks Summit at The Ellington 860! Hopefully when I call you all tomorrow you'll have some...
Read moreSo, I just moved here about a month ago. They're very much in the middle of a renovation and upgrade, and it's obvious that they are. The door outside into my building was off the hinges when I moved in - now there's two doors, and a security camera, and they're installing a key-fob for entry. The pools are nice, but the staff is overwhelmed by the amount of people moving in, so maintenance is slow right now. The laundry facilities are pretty bad. The machines themselves work fine, but it looks like it was made from a dungeon - holes in the walls, the bench broken and in the corner, overflowing trash cans. I'm hoping they fix that next. Overall, it's not terrible, but it's in the middle of an upgrade and things never go according to plan when it comes to renovations. In a few months it'll probably be way better. I also haven't had any trouble with neighbors or sound issues or anything, so that's a plus.
Edit: I've lived here almost a year now. It got bought out by a new company about two months back, and while overall it might better, individually it's much worse. They're adding new things to make the place look better - new paint, new doors, playground for kids - but they're neglecting the apartments themselves. I've been asking for a new AC unit or a repair for a week, and heard nothing. It regularly gets to 90 degrees in my apartment, and my AC unit freezes up and doesn't cool anything. Another huge problem is security. They put locks on the doors for the electronic keyfobs, but the maintenance crew leaves things open. I came home once after they did a showerhead replacement for all the apartments. They had finished over two hours ago, but left their keys in my apartment door, left it unlocked, and had the door propped open, letting anyone just walk right into my apartment. The maintenance crew was nowhere around, and there was no response to my complaints or comments. Unless they fix things fast, they're going to have just as much trouble as the...
