Sabor Catracho & Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Service was TERRIBLE! I would love to write a review on the food, but I walked out after an hour and 20 minutes of waiting for the my order to be taken.

I arrived at 10 a.m. when the restaurant opened. My wife and I sat down, the waitress came over after 20 minutes (there were 2 other customers there) and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We placed our drink orders and I told her that I did not need a menu I was going to get "huevos rancheros". She brought my wife a menu and my coffee. Came back and took my wife's order.

My wife's order came and mine did not. after 30 minutes she came over and asked if we we're done. I told her I never got my breakfast. She seem shocked and went back to the kitchen. After 20 more minutes, a male server asked if everything was okay. I told him I was waiting on huevos rancheros. He said they do not have that and did not know what that was. I asked for a menu and showed it to him and then he seemed to know what it was, then HE went back to the kitchen.

After 25 more minutes of waiting and watching them take and serve orders and not even letting me know what was going on, I placed an estimated amount on the table and walked out. I arrived there at 10a.m. and walked out at 11:25a.m.

There are 3 other Mexican food options within walking distance of this joke of a restaurant. Don't waste your money or time at...

OK, so, I've now been to this place twice. I read the reviews and the ones that were in Spanish that said the food was really good carried a lot of weight and I saw the complaining about the service also. Since I wasn't in any hurry the first time I went I figured we'd chance it. First time on a Friday night when the place was almost full second time on a Wednesday night with a few tables taken. I'm not a Mexican food expert but let me describe it as .... you know what cheap Mexican restaurant food tastes like. This place is better than that. The rice was good, the enchiladas, no weird seasonings. I had the vegetable fajitas on the first visit and it was a stack of food and was very good. The service was fine - there was no long wait either time, we were properly attended to, food came out in an expected amount of time. No issues. We will eat here another...

Staff was very nice, place was very clean… And the Cuban sandwich that has all the different meats, after they explained it I had to try it… It took me two days to finish that sandwich, and I am definitely happy that I made that choice, because not only was tasty feeling and very pleasant and interesting to eat. Next time I go there, I will bring somebody to eat half so I can keep the other half, or I’ll buy it for two different meals or two different days just like I did this done, either way I will be...
