Summary: Spend your money elsewhere and pay attention to the bad reviews.
Where do I begin? From the beginning red flags appeared. Applied for our apartment on a Thursday, kept being told we were approved but there was a hang up on their side so the lease couldnât be generated, didnât hear anything back for almost 3.5 weeks, finally told us we were approved the literal day before we were supposed to move in, âsorry for the delay, it was a new systemâ and then get hit with a âoh you have to pay an extra security deposit because your time at your job is too recent.â Interesting, but sure, whatever. Then we learn that have done this to SEVERAL people in the building and given bogus reasons for the unreasonable extra security deposit (hint: it is not the $500 advertised) that none of us have had to pay literally anywhere else. (Seriously, I moved out of a building into here that was almost triple the cost of this one and paid $0 in security deposits for a much more reputable company and a much nicer building) Seems like they are just raising capital since they canât fill these apartments. Will update when we move out to see if they nitpick and actually return it.
From move in, the prior property manager who is now a regional manager was very hostile, confrontational and down right rude any time you asked her a question. And so are other leasing agents. Seems like a big club of meal girls here.
Our dishwasher wasnât connected properly, so obviously no quality control or pre-move in walk for these apartments. Flooded the kitchen the first time we used it, called maintenance, something was broke on it so they just switched it with one in a vacant apartment.
My favorite new maintenance issue is the bug problem here. Several neighbors and I have all had these little flies that come out of the drains and toilets and wonât go away. Pest control comes to spray but it doesnât help. Email sent today just told us that these bugs are normal since itâs getting warm outside. What BS.
Inconsistent valet trash pickup that you HAVE to pay for, hallways stink because they donât come to pick up the trash and then we get more emails sent out talking to us as if we are children telling us that the dumpsters are âoff limitsâ and threatening fines for taking our own trash out or telling us to take it to the dump across the street which you also have to pay for. Why are we paying for valet trash if they canât find a consistent vendor?
Oh and the parking garage that was full of literal trash for months when we moved in, while they were âfiguring out the dumpster situationâ. Three whole parking spaces full of cardboard boxes and several other spaces full of construction debris (sliding glass doors, paint, all sort of other things!)
Elevator is always down, no email sent to residents about that this time, but has been down for 3 days now as Iâve posted this. (Oh and this elevator also isnât even labeled right! Press 3 to get to the 2nd floor, make that make sense)
The hallway walls are beat up , walls scratched, carpet stained, carpet separating (from the building literally falling apart) cheap paint throughout the apartment complex, thin walls (that also are barely standing in some parts of the building, look at the other reviews) all on a building that isnât even a full year old yet. I get that things happen with move ins, but itâs downright embarrassing having guests over and walking them through hallways that look like that.
The list goes on and on. Iâve lived at several apartments and have NEVER had issues like this. Too many to even put on this review because it would be a small book honestly.
Just to put it simply, stay away from Greystar and stay away from The Station. Listen to the bad reviews and notice that the ones that are good are either from a bot (referencing things that donât even exist at this complex) or people that havenât even signed a lease here. (Must be Greystarâs famous âLetâs see who can get the most reviews...
Read moreIf youâre considering moving here, I highly encourage you to read recent one-star reviewsâthey are accurate. Many residents, including us, have faced serious structural concerns, poor maintenance, and unprofessional management.
Structural Issues: The Building is Cracking The building has visible cracks throughout, and we have two large cracks in our unit alone. One is so severe that our bedroom door is misaligned, leaving a two-inch gap when closed. This is not just cosmeticâother residents have reported similar issues across the complex. What this property actually needs is a NEW building inspection to determine if itâs even structurally sound.
Maintenance is Nonexistent Submitting a maintenance request here is pointless. Requests are entered into the resident portal, but they are often marked as âresolvedâ or âcanceledâ without anyone showing up. There is zero accountability or follow-up.
Move-In Conditions Were Unacceptable Our unit was not move-in ready. The patio railing was unpainted, and when we asked to reschedule a rushed painting appointment, we never heard back. Other unfinished issues include:
The original sales tag still wired to the Juliet balcony railing (out of reach). Painters' tape still stuck to the ceiling. Construction dust and debris left throughout the unit. Management Ignores Privacy Laws Tenant laws require 24-hour notice before entering units, but management does not follow this rule. Instead, they call 15 minutes to an hour before showing up, demanding access for community-wide repairs.
Noise Levels Are Unbearable Unless you live on the top floor, expect to hear every step, stomp, and crash from your upstairs neighbors. We reported excessive yelling and loud crashes at night, and management ignored us. It escalated to the point where we had to call the police because we were genuinely concerned for our neighborâs safety.
If your unit faces the pool, prepare to hear music on a 24/7 loop, with bass vibrating through your walls.
Management Selectively Allows Lease Termination Some tenants have been let out of their leases with NDAs, preventing them from discussing their experiences. However, when we requested early termination due to these ongoing issues, the property manager refused and admitted,
"If we offered that to everyone, no one would live here."
How Management Will Likely Respond to This Review If they reply, expect the usual blame-shifting, such as:
"We take maintenance requests seriously." â They are ignored or marked as canceled without resolution. "We are happy to discuss concerns." â We tried. Nothing changed. "We strive to provide a great living experience." â Then why are there so many one-star reviews saying the same thing? Final Recommendation: DO NOT RENT HERE This complex is unsafe, poorly maintained, and managed with zero regard for tenants. If you want a livable apartment with reliable maintenance and professional management, look elsewhere. I regret signing a lease here and hope this review helps others avoid the...
Read moreI have been living here in unit 432 for about five months. During the leasing process, they did a great job, and I even mentioned it in a previous review.
About a month ago, a large crack appeared on my wall. Because of the pressure on the doorframe, my door frame broke, and now my door is unusable. My roommate's door also doesnât close for a different reason. There is also a sliding door that wonât close when the weather is cold, and the water dispenser on the refrigerator does not work. Another issue is the parking lot, where a large section leaks water when it rains. I donât understand how a new building can have so many problems.
I reported this issue through the application they use, marking it as immediate attention, but I did not receive a response for a long time. Later, I sent an email to highlight the urgency of the situation. Their response was: we will notify maintenance of this issue. We are currently working through our work orders. However, no one ever came to check the problem. After seeing another review from someone experiencing the same issue, I realized that this building has many structural problems. I also noticed that a crack near the fifth-floor elevator entrance was quickly covered up during a late-night repair. I took before and after pictures to document this.
After 27 days, since they failed to fix the problem, I reviewed my lease agreement and sent an email stating that I wanted to leave the apartment under constructive eviction. After I sent my lease termination request, I suddenly received an email saying that maintenance work would be done. It seems strange that this email only came after my termination request.
I also informed them in writing that I survived a major earthquake in 2023 in my country, where thousands of people died. This situation has triggered my past trauma, and I had to start therapy because of it. Since I work from home, this has seriously affected my mental health, and I have been experiencing anxiety. I also expressed that I do not feel safe in my home and wanted to move out as soon as possible.
In response, they refused my request and told me that the 60-day notice period still applies and that I would be responsible for 9,180 dollars, plus any outstanding utilities, monthly fees, and other charges as part of the lease termination.
Yesterday, I rejected their maintenance requests.
My lease is still active. I have started a legal process regarding this issue and have already contacted Metro Codes and other building safety organizations.
If anyone else is experiencing a similar issue, please feel free to contact me.
Lastly, the community here is amazing. My review and rating are based only on management and...
