Cool vibe to the place, limited outdoor seating, friendly staff but the beer, while very good, is very over-priced. $6 for a 10 oz. pour is just too steep. And why is a $5 oz. pour $3.50 instead of $3? Craft beer prices have been steadily increasing and am just not sure these prices are justified. Seems expensive compared to other places so I doubt that I will go back.
Response to owner: I don't follow your reasoning for the cost difference for a half pour. You brew a large container of beer using a certain amount of ingredients. Whether you pour that beer in 5 or 10 ounces doesn't change the amount of ingredients so it doesn't make sense to me that this should change the price? Anyway, I appreciate your response and that is great if you are using ethically sourced ingredients and direct trade. If that pricing is what it takes to keep your business going, then I wish you all the best! I just choose not to pay that price for a beer. Best of luck to you, I do...
Read moreNashville has a lot of places roasting their own beans now; Living Waters is one of the few multi-roasters left in town (along with maybe only Dose). With Methodical, Parlor, & some rotating selections, LW brews the best cup of coffee in the cityâwhether you're a purist who exclusively drinks black pour over & espresso, or you prefer to treat yourself to sweeter specialty drinks.
Even though they're called "Living Waters Brewing", I'm not sure they get the recognition they deserve for their beer. I consider them one of the top 3 breweries in Nashville.
The space is very comfortable: lots of tables, chairs, & a couple nice couches in a huge building that gets plenty of natural light. They're open late, let you open a tab, and have plenty of parking.
My only (small) complaint is that the music is usually very loud. Even with headphones on and music playing, I can clearly hear what's coming through their sound system. Makes it difficult to concentrate if I'm...
Read moreThis place is absolutely fantastic. I came in a little stinky and was never judged or made to feel out of place. East Nashville really does not disappoint. Down to earth but fancy location with a great mood that complements the atmosphere. I came here in search of a cold brew and temporary place of refuge (Tennessee heat is no joke). I found that and much more from only the second place in East Nashville with cold brew that I currently know of.
It was such a nice and welcoming place with indoor and outdoor seating options. I decided to hang out for a few hours and enjoy the wifi, music, cold brew, beer and community feel with decent prices. I felt so at home here that the pants almost came off. The employees are extremely helpful and provide great advice and insight on the drinks but mostly leave you to enjoy the space. If you're in one of the nearby shopping locations, record store or gym. It's worth...
