The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I have been to this cocktail bar many times since it’s opened. It’s been one of my favorite places to bring out of town guests or for a fun evening with my wife. I was talking about it with my friends today while being in east nashville, and we all wanted to try it out. There were seven of us.

We were rudely told about the wait time (we showed up at 5:07) even though there weren’t any other groups waiting for their tables. The host went inside to “see if we could make it in,” and then came out with another server to tell us that it would be an hour long wait.

1. I’ve worked in the food and bev industry for over five years and know the code phrases. We were a seven top not in “East nashville” appropriate attire. If you have a dress code, say that instead of being rude.
2. the server and host stared at us as we walked away, as if to see where we would go. This group of people has lived in nashville for over 20 years. We know nashville better than the two that are trying to keep us out for whatever reason.
3. you literally turned down a seven-top at opening. You would have had at least 50-100 dollars in tips just by serving us. That’s literally idiotic. I saw your POS, and the first table was at 5:15. We could have split up to be in different groups, but instead, you denied us without reason or merit.
4. I may never recommend The Fox to anyone again, and I’ll probably never return. You don’t “need” my business; you seem to be doing just fine. But if you continue this kind of customer service, you won’t be around long.

My husband and I will undoubtedly say that The Fox is our all time FAVORITE craft cocktail bar. We’ve fallen in love everything about this little hole in the wall, from the immaculate interior design, the incredibly skilled and kind staff, the small plates to munch on while you drink, and of course, the drinks! There is so much care and effort given to even the smallest of details on their menu (and in the actual menu itself, there’s sliding scales to let you know more about the drinks before you get them along with witty descriptions to pair with the clever cocktail names!), it’s incredible to take in everything about this place. Definitely fun to bring our cocktail-oriented friends around, and my husband and I just love their vibes all around too. We always love chit chatting with the bartenders of course and asking about their craft (yes, thrown drinks are really that cool 😆), and a big shout out to Pete and Zander for chilling with us one evening after the Lil Nas X concert let out and we decided to wait out traffic with a few drinks from here!

Highly, highly recommend saving some extra dollars to get a couple of drinks from The Fox. They are worth every penny and every minute of your time. We can’t wait to...

Dark, Whimsical, and a bit Mysterious The Fox Bar is a incredible experience! Its a cocktail bar with drinks designed for a more adult and refined pallet. The bar consists of one small room which is decorated like a 20's speakeasy that has been left to time. Expect no signage when arriving and the only hint you're in the right place is a fox mural with no text on the side if the building. The bar is located in the back of a strip mall behind a small Italian restaurant. The bartender is a expert at the craft and seemed very engaging with those seated at the bar. We were seated at one of the beautiful plush green velvet booths against the wall and were quickly greeted by our waiter who was a small man with dead eyes. Either a Serial Killer or a robot in human skin. That is not a complaint however as honestly it just added to the vibe! This is truly just a quirky and very fun experience that has some of the best cocktails anywhere! I suggest Elegy #2 or Left Handed Banana but no matter what you get you wont be...
