Neakahnie-Manzanita State Park — Attraction in Neahkahnie Beach

Reviews that cite the beach and mountain views are accurate. Reviews that talk about camp sites, camp hosts, showers, yurts, should be clarified, or disregarded, because they probably refer to Nehalem Bay state Park. If you google Neakahnie-Manzanita State park and look at map, you will see what I mean. It's on the north side of Manzanita. Neakahnie Mountain trail is amazing with a stunning view of Manzanita beach. Doable with 3 small kids (7, 4 and 9 months in a backpack). Not stroller friendly at all. Even if you opt to take the longer service road route, it's just too steep and rocky to get a stroller up in my opinion. To get to the very top it's a little treacherous and very windy...hold on to your little ones as they might get scared. But the view is worth it! I go there at least once a week. It is an amazing park. It is well-maintained. In a very natural way. There is an equestrian area. Which is just amazing.
