Minden Park — Attraction in Nevada

Minden Park is a beautiful, reflective experience...a walk into a different time, a better time in history. The wonderful part, is those memories many of us have, of a simpler time, with Concerts in the Park, Christmas tree lighting, and home made treats with Hot chocolate, along with family get togethers, , Community events, Reunions, even the regulars who meet there for lunch, from early Spring, right up to the first snow fall..,It’s all here in Minden Park. And let’s not forget the locals, who have got to know each other, and become friends, all while taking time with their four legged family members, for a stroll in the Park, the unofficial members of the Minden dog walkers club...The only requirement is to just grab a bag at the corner, hook up their leash, and let your ‘best friend lead the way. Yes, Im proud to say, we are unofficial members too. One other wonderful event, that takes place, every Summer, at Minden Park, are the intimate, and most beautiful, small town Weddings in the Park. If you love Americana and feel the need to stop and smell the roses, Minden Park is a great place to visit. Although there are no roses to smell, the Park is conveniently located in downtown Minden and has drinking fountains, bathrooms, a water feature for the kids, picnic tables, trash cans and is dog friendly. (They supply doggy poop bags.) The centrally located bandstand (Gazebo) brings back memories of a time in America when Sunday afternoon concerts were prevalent in small towns across the USA. This park is well maintained and always makes me smile...

Minden is a fun gathering place for family and friends. There is a splash pad for kids in the summer time and there are ample places to eat your lunch or walk. Whenever I'm looking for a place to meet friends or just go to enjoy lunch, this is my favorite park to do it at! It's famous for being the center of homecoming and dance pictures at the gazebo. In the summer there are concerts in the park. And during the winter the town of Gardnerville lights it up the day before the light parade!! It is a hub for families all...
