I bought a laptop for emergency circumstances from the shop. The salesman did not know I program computers and repair them. He sold me a laptop with water damage and a broken or missing memory slot. I tried to explain the issue and he became belligerent. All I did was calmly explain that the item was indeed damaged and should not have been sold in said condition without informing the buyer , and his behavior immediately became hostile and ignorant.
When buying from them it be in the consumers best interest to thoroughly check electronic devices as they may indeed be severely damaged and end up needing serious repairs in order to function properly, if not the buyer as I was will be met with physical and verbal hostility of which the seller uses to intimidate the buyer into submission as a defense for their dishonesty.
I was disappointed that the salesman felt that $90 was worth not only deceiving a customer over but behaving in a threatening and non professional manner over. I live over 1 hour away and couldn’t get there until the next day. Willing to give a non refundable deposit through PayPal or credit card. They sold it later that day.(they say after having it for a month) I am at a loss for words and couldnt be more dissatisfied for their personal skills. They could hold it with a deposit for 24 hrs??? As a side note. I wanted to buy a race car go cart for a less fortunate friend who has no funds and a a son that loves racing. His daughter is in despair with an awful skin disease where her life is in limbo. The family could have used a breakthrough in happiness for moment with a nice gesture of this car being sold by jaws. I walked in at 4:40 p.m. on a Saturday. Plenty of time to pick up a few hand tools. People have to be supervised in the tool section, which I do understand. Here's what I don't understand - I was basically allowed down there for 5 minutes.
Frantically searching for the size wrenches I desperately needed, I was interrupted sooner than expected, the guy claiming "that's all the time I can give you, I'm closing up the store."
I paid for what I had, started to walk out and looked down at my phone. It was 4:50.
I made it very clear there were more things I needed, but God forbid they be bothered long enough for me to throw even more money at their business and leave at the actual closing time.
Don't worry, I won't be bothering them with any more of my money going forward.
