Marathon Pizza used to be a staple of New Britain life ....it seems to have gone down the wayside. I ordered a sausage pizza from this place, and I was seriously disappointed. The crust was so tough that it felt like I was chewing on plywood—completely inedible. It took way too much effort to get through each bite. The sausage was equally bad—bland, flavorless. Not to mention, this "sausage" was cut into huge chunks (the size of my thumb) was haphazardly thrown on this pie. It added nothing to the pizza, and honestly, it was hard to tell it was sausage at all. The sauce was forgettable, and the whole thing just tasted like a sad, thrown-together mess. For the price, I expected way better. I definitely won’t be ordering...

From L.A.to N.Y.C,Chicago to Miami, Lansing MI, to Dallas TX and more. The first place I go to eat is Marathon Pizza(please don't tell my parents). Yes, there's many pizza places in NB, and I love many of them. However, there's only one Marathon. I'm 55 years old,and the same cooks are still making the best pizza I ever had.
