If u have the sudden urge to shop without breaking the bank the flea market is the best way to spend a Sunday morning. From grapes to glasses to Gucci belts the flea market has it all. Just don't expect anything to come with a warranty or receipt. But at least u can haggle a bit if your feeling extra cheap. Best time to haggle is on Sunday right before they close. Theyll basically give it away when it's closing time. Of course the merchandise is fugazi but no one really cares how much u spent on your socks and t shirts. As long as theyre clean most people will overlook the fact that your HANEZ underwear logo is misspelled. While your walking around looking at all the overstocked useless items you'll come across a few hidden gems. Like the gentleman that sells bunzai trees or the produce guys in the back singing out fruit names in 6 different languages. Side note: the fruit is pretty dam good. And of course there is street meat available for those of us that enjoy ruining our diets. My parents have been taking me to the market since I was a kid and now I bring my kids. Hats, gloves, socks, light jackets, scented oils, soaps, blankets, pots, pans the flea market has it all. the market is a great asset to it's community. It gives low Income families access to literally EVERYTHING at a price that doesn't break the bank. without it some families would go without. If your looking for a place to spend some time and not dent the wallet the flea market is the place to go. I go all the time and half the time I don't buy anything but it's still a Kool way to burn and hour...
Read moreNot a good flea market at all. Extremely crowded at 1:40 in the afternoon. They charged me $2 to park and they don’t REALLY have handicapped parking although because it’s a state law for businesses ( even Flea markets !) they at least attempted to find me a parking spot closer to the flea market entrance ( the man helping me was VERY nice) but there weren’t any so I waited 15 minutes for a car to leave and the gentleman helping made sure no other cars slipped into the parking spot ( and cars WERE TRYING to TAKE the spot that the man was watching! If he wasn’t standing there the cars were TRYING to slip in as fast as possible but he stopped them ! The Flea market has the typical junk that one would buy if you went to Canal St.in China town in NYC ! Same junk , same knock off wallets and pocket books - lol . Cheap popular knock off mens and womens perfume or cologne that smells awful and are NOT the REAL thing. NHPD comes in there and raids them every so often for peddling fake junk but these people and companies who peddle the junk don’t care and pay the fine and they are right back in biz. I only went up and down two rows of stuff because it’s all the same junk. Parking lot is dirty and sand blowing everywhere! It’s a dump , lol 😂 Save your money if you like that kind of stuff and buy the real thing or even the Coach outlet in Clinton , CT. is SO Much nicer ! And the Gap outlets are so...
Read moreWent there over the weekend, wasn't bad at all. The location is a little sketchy but once you get inside its good. The parking was right next door to the place and costs $2. The quantity of things is crazy, definitely a place to go on a nice sunny sunday to spend the afternoon. The quality isn't great but you get what you pay for and you can bargain for a comfortable price. One thing that really stood out is that there was a Carvel ice cream truck there, it was my first time ever seeing one before. The gentleman that was working it told us this incredible story about how in 1991 the carvel company wanted to franchise these ice cream trucks but it didn't end up working out and he bought the truck and fixed it up. It was truly a cool experience. If you go to this flea market definitely check out the truck , the gentleman is great and he would be more than happy to tell you the story and the ice cream is incredible . I got a soft serve vanilla ice cream cup and my fiance got the root beer float that he said was...
