I used the Technology center for microcomputer tasks. My time was limited to 65 minutes. I accessed the I.D.E.S, Gmail, Facebook and the New York Times online.
I could rent movies, books, d.v.d.s, and read periodicals.
Get a patron's card and enjoy all of the above for free or more for modest fees. If you have a card that is from a member of the North Suburban Library System, you can extend your privileges to the W.P.L.

Read moreAside from the greeter, the librarians have been consistently rude or annoyed when asked questions. Many will not help you find books and just direct you to an area in a bothered tone. They also often are very visibly annoyed by any kids who excitedly enter the library. I have seen them scold children for being excited and just being children. Libraries should be welcoming places. The Wilmette Library has consistently disappointed and I will frequently go out of my way to patronize other local libraries who seem happy to have visitors instead. Read moreA wonderful suburban library with some great programs. Though parking is limited, the library is still relatively easy to reach by public transport. The size of the place is appropriate for a village the size of WIlmette. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
