The Boulevard ALP Assisted living is a lovely facility that does not have that "facility" feel. After our visit/tour to see the BLVD, Mom chose this as her place. Mom was a resident of the BLVD from 2015 to present.
The staff are wonderful and extremely caring and supportive. Our hope is that we remember everyone and everything and do not forget to mention the excellence of the different departments, Administration, Case Management, Business Office, Compliance ofc, Medication, Doctor/Nurse, Reception/Concierge, Recreation, Dining, Aides/Nurses, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and the friendliness of other Residents. We always felt Mom was in good hands at the BLVD. There is privacy for residents, but with the utmost caring support of the staff, who make it feel like a big family setting. The interior feels warm and inviting. There are many places within to go for activities, rec-room, religious services, a spacious dining room, a beautiful peaceful outdoor court yard where they have outdoor BBQ's... The list goes on... Outside the front entrance is a cul-de-sac, which is very nice and private to BLVD. We were very fortunate to have found this hidden gem after shopping around. The BLVD is the best of them !
During this COVID-19 crisis the BLVD staff went into immediate protective mode to safeguard its residents. They did an excellent job of keeping them safe, while keeping it as close to normal for Mom / residents within and our family. It's true, Heroes do work here !
This was not just a place for Mom. The Boulevard ALP would be our choice for ourselves and our other family members who may need the services of an assisted living. Such a great place !
Thank you ALL, from the bottom to top...
Read moreWhen our dad went into to Blvd assisted living in June 2016, we were concerned that he wouldn't like it and wouldn't want to stay there. Our fears and concerns were unfounded. My dad, despite his need for assistance was able to live there for the next 5 years without any problems.
He loved the synagogue, the Shabbos elevator and lectures and the glatt kosher food. He enjoyed the holiday BBQ's the Super Bowl parties, the challah making clases and making new friends there.
Mark and I were there with him on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur services and the Pesach seders and the davening there, and the holiday meals. They were great.
Thank you also to the chefs, the kitchen staff and the servers, the dining room was like a hotel dining room and anything my father needed they provided for him.
The administrators and staff treated our father like family and not just a resident. We will always be grateful for the assistance of all who work there. Thank you Bruce, Lisa, Sam , Pat and all the staff and administrators.
My dad loved sitting outside in the patio and we played many chess games outside.
When our father passed, the Blvd was kind enough to let us sit Shiva in his apt .and provided us with meals too. My brother and I would recommend Blvd Alps, to anyone considering putting loved ones who needs assistance there.
We never worried about our father there. There is a doctor on premise and nurses. And the transportation dept was able to book vans for his medical appointments that were not in house, going and the return trip back. The medical dept made sure that pills he needed to take were taken at the right time of day. Thank you Blvd Alps. Stuart &...
Read moreBoulevard ALP is truly exceptional, and its staff is remarkable. Samuel Horowitz, the executive director, is a visionary leader who adds a personal touch to everything he does. Whether he’s interviewing potential guests and their families or engaging with employees, he sets a high standard for all.
Lisa Steinberg, the Director of Case Management, is both intelligent and innovative, ensuring staff preparedness and resident satisfaction. She consistently went above and beyond her duties. Her compassion for the needs of our elderly population and her unwavering dedication to the residents of Boulevard ALP are truly commendable.
However, the standout star for my family has to be Elinor Taasa! Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment made the transition for my 85-year-old Mother-In-Love from a rehabilitation facility to this vibrant community smooth and quick. Elinor guided us through the difficult decision to place our loved one in assisted living. Her concern for our needs as well as our family members was paramount. Her assistance with paperwork and addressing all of our concerns played a crucial role in making Boulevard ALP my Mother-In-Love's new home.
Additionally, the campus itself is a lively and picturesque environment filled with engaging activities. From sing-a-longs to various outings, Boulevard ALP provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home...
