I have their confirmation it was canceled long before renewal. I submitted this with the Better Business Bureau. Will never use them again.
OG post: I wonder if these reviews are fake. I am pretty sure I already posted one, and don't see it. We booked Cubesmart for my friend Laura, and their system is set up so that you can make a reservation but you should only pay on the day of move in. I wasn't used to that, so paid, and when I noticed the start date, it was the date of me making the reservation, not the move in date. So I called immediately and they fixed it, and they said they would refund. I could then just pay on the move in date. They called me at least a dozen times prior to move in date to confirm if I was indeed moving in. I laughed when they called me the third time the day before move in date to ask if - yes - I was moving in the next day. STOP SPAMMING ME. If you’d let me pay when making the reservation you wouldn’t have to call me…12 times. The day off we move in, all goes well, and we pay. I now see two charges and ask if I will indeed get the refund for that first one: "Oh, what do you mean" I explain the whole thing again and they have to “follow up with General Manager”. I get told I will get a refund. I NEVER GOT THE REFUND, even after a third time getting in touch, so I used my credit card dispute service to get the money back. We move out 18 days later, and get it confirmed in person TWICE, and over the phone ONCE that there's nothing else we have to do. AT THE RENEWAL TIME AT THE END OF THE MONTH THEY CHARGE ME FOR A NEW MONTH. I called and they said I would get an automatic refund. Let's hope they do. I might need to use my credit card service dispute service again. I can sort of not believe they would scam me in plain sight. EDIT: CubeSmart responded to my review asking how they can help. Read moreI would choose any other storage place but this one. Used this location for a bit over a year and have had multiple issues trying to access my locker. They shut down 15-20min prior to what's listed as closing hours, which is absolutely unacceptable. The front desk randomly shuts off and you have no access to them or the moving carts. I've went there during lunch hours and they were out for lunch, which is fine, but if you are doing that you MUST list those hours online and not have people travel for half hour, only to find they need to wait another hour for you to come back. Once again completely unacceptable. And finally, I've also even called in advance to confirm they'll be open on certain holidays, was told they are open, only to show up to a completely closed facility for the day. If you like gambling on whether or not you can access your items then this is the place for you, otherwise look literally anywhere else.
PS: When I filed a complained and canceled my account I was told I would not be given a refund for the remaining days that I have paid for but have not used. Utterly terrible customer...
