This is a small but well stocked branch of the Queens Public Library. It has recently been renovated to bring it into compliance with the American Disability Act regulations. The library is heavily used. It also has meeting rooms that are available for community organizations.

I don't know their budget but they're trying to do their best as far as I can see. People are helpful and I find what I'm looking for.

The library itself is small and well stocked. The environment is noisy at all times that I have visited. Kids running amok, people taking calls in the library reading/study section.

The librarians and other employees do not care at all about the noise levels or disruption caused. They barely carry out their jobs as is, and when asked to enforce any of the rules relating to noise, they seem dumbfounded. It makes sense, as they contribute half the noise with their incessant talking amongst themselves. This is supposed to be a relatively quiet place, yet it is far from it.

What should be a sanctuary for focus and reflection has instead become a free-for-all, where respect for shared space is completely absent. The staff’s indifference only reinforces the chaos, creating an environment that feels more like a bustling café than a library. Patrons who come to read, study, or simply find a moment of peace are left frustrated and unheard. The irony is painful: a place dedicated to knowledge and contemplation is undermined by a lack of discipline and care from those entrusted to uphold it.

The only one who seems to care is a diminutive blonde woman, who makes small but earnest efforts to restore some order. Unfortunately, her attempts are drowned out—both literally and figuratively—by her boisterous and overwhelming colleagues. Her quiet diligence is a rare glimmer of what the library could be, but it is smothered by the noise, negligence, and complacency...

Overall this place is ok, though on any given day you may see some people 'camping out' at the library, along with their personal odors in tow.

The librarians at this branch sure aren't like the librarians when I grew up! Kids are allowed to run around, yell, etc., with not a word said by the librarians. Is this a daycare center, or is it a library....or maybe both??

Mind you, I love kids, but at the same time, I tire of seeing so many parents nowadays who entirely shirk their responsibilities as parents. It seems some people don't like being parents (maybe they resent their multiple 'accidental' kids?), while other parents seem to think it not 'politically correct' to Parent their own children. Now kids are coddled and allowed to dictate to the...

Terrible. Unorganized rude service. Treated like a second class citizen. I don't know why they're still open? They don't offer any help in anything, nor do they want any used books anymore. They don't have any magazines or books left. Why is this location open? They only offer free esl classes and offer free computer Internet service to these cheap mothers after school who can afford $600 iPhones for these kids ,but can't afford to get a laptop or pc to help them with school work? This is the world we live in now. This location doesn't offer any services for senior citizens, or helpful workshops for unemployment or how to start a small business. They should open a workforce one location here. Since they have one at the...
