Gennaro's Catering Hall — Attraction in New York

Not Vendor Friendly!

I been doing photography for over 15yrs and been to many events and this was is not vendor friendly especially when the event is done and you are packing up. They have an elevator which I was not allowed to used because I was told that they do not let equipment be on it where I only have a big pelican case and a beach wagon for two bag of lights, tripod bag and soft box, they are trying to fool me that they weight of my equipment would exceed the weight capacity by telling me "they do not let equipment on the elevator!" where the DJ is packing up more stuff and heavier equipment than I have and mostly likely going to use the elevator. I did not have a choice but to go down those the stairs again, same way as I go up. I was honestly scared I would fall down and get hurt. SMH! Food was okay, love the ambience and space but horrible customer service at the end, when you are in customer service business.. You need to be 1000% stellar customer service not 1000% only at the beginning! and this is the only even space I saw staff eating food they serve. It is okay but It...

I have been in the industry for over 25 years. When it came to trusting a catering hall for my Daughters Bridal Shower this October 2021... there was no question at all, I was calling Jerry from Gennaro's. Having had a few other highly successful private parties, in our family over the years, it was a no brainer. We are a big Italian Family and know quality food when we see it. My parents are from Italy and are the toughest critics, when it comes to food. It's always Fresh!! Always Plentiful! And always served with a smile! Its Not only important to us to have great food... thats a given. But the service, atmosphere and experience are all there from the minute you call them. They are Happy to have your business and their staff is Great! They really treat you like family and we are Happy to have them be a part of ours as well. I like to start by saying gennaros catering hall is not only a business, It's a place of family .My time spent here is always a memorable and joyful time the staffs are amazing and well organized in sense of love and respect . Dj always jamming the new and the classics and decors are always on point with every event . Jerry is an excellent aspect and consistent he's well spoken and an amazing host/bartender .
