The Lansingburgh Historical Society is a small and neat little museum located in Lansingburgh, NY. The house was built in 1786 and it was here that Herman Melville wrote two different novels. The museum has a little bit of everything, ranging from artifacts from Lansingburgh’s history to a few possessions of the Melville family.
