This place is so good! The food is amazing! Great flavor, very authentic. The prices are very reasonable and worth every penny! I love their homemade hot sauces so much too. I had the traditional Tlayuda for the first time with chorizo as my meat and I was blown away. It's huge and DELICIOUS! 😍 My new favorite Mexican restaurant! I feel so lucky that we have this place right here in Lansingburgh! I'll be back as often as I can! My husband had the empanadas and he really liked those too. A friend of ours also loves their burritos. The dining space is simple but very warmly decorated with murals and Mexican decorations. There was Mexican music playing. It's a really cool spot. Check it out!

Muy delicioso! This is truly an authentic Mexican restaurant, with home made corn tortillas, home made aguas frescas (the jamaica was so smooth and not overly sweet!), home made salsas (I especially loved the salsa verde), Spanish music…and super friendly owners! I will be back for café con canela y chilaquiles for brunch soon!!

The birria tacos with consommé are not to be missed! I lived in LA for 8 years with ample access to great Mexican food but these birria tacos are the best I've ever had! The al pastor tacos (fresh pineapple), jaimaica drink and salsas were also fantastic. Generous portions and larger tacos than you'd get at a taco truck.

If you check my profile you will see that I often am generous with my reviews and often give 5-star reviews to most businesses which is why I am sad that this restaurant just did not earn a good review for me. If you are one of the many locals that have given this restaurant 5-stars then I can’t blame you because there’s not many restaurants in this part of Troy so having any restaurant must seem better than nothing. Let’s get into specifics, PROS: #1: was the shrimp tacos I ordered authentic to the street tacos in Sausalito or Rosarito when I drove down to Mexico? Yes. But coming from a restaurant family I can tell you that as a business you HAVE to get the most basic things right and this restaurant failed. CONS: #1. No ice water (was told ice machine broken). #2. No rice and beans (at 8pm on a Thursday night was told they were out of rice and beans). #3. After I placed my order, waitress never brought me any complimentary chips and salsa (I actually had to ask for chips and salsa and when the salsa arrived it was in the squirt bottles like they couldn’t afford to pour some into a little bowl. Also the red and green salsa was just average. Not as amazing as other reviewers called it. In fact I was so underwhelmed by the salsa which is no way as delicious as the most average salsa I have had in TX that I ordered a side of Pico de gallo instead. The tomatoes in the Pico de gallo were not ripe!) #4. After I was almost finished with my meals I overheard that they cooked a fresh batch of rice and beans so I ordered a side of it. It was yellow rice and black beans. You have no option to choose pinto or refried beans and black beans are not my favorite so whoever said the rice and beans here was so amazing, I disagree. Rice and beans were just okay but honestly they were just adequate and not special to me. #5. Even the most low budget taqueria knows to purchase a pad of paper or paper check book to write a check. This place relies on a digital accounting app and they told me printer was broken so instead the only options were they could email or text me the check. I provided my email and no check email arrived. #6. During my meals a sketchy couple came in and asked if they could just come out of the cold to wait inside for their UBER. No UBER ever arrived and looked to me like maybe they were waiting for their drug dealer which kinda ruined the ambiance for me, but I guess it matches this sketchy part of town. Anyway there is no way I would bring a date here. So anyway I hope others will start leaving more honest reviews because it’s not fair for the other restaurants that actually deserve 5-stars when places like this are getting 5-stars. One last thing, when you consider that you have to purchase bottled water, chips and salsa, Pico-de-gallo and side dish of rice and beans then my bill came to almost $25 so it’s not actually all that affordable as other reviewers called it...

We ordered delivery through mealeo so I can't say anything about the atmosphere. The food was fantastic! We may have made an odd choice for the empanada filling (which the restaurant called to confirm we wanted the queso filling and not a meat, we should have taken the hint it would be better with meat haha). That said the portions are huge! We got a burrito with asana and a chimichanga also asana. The meat was soooo tender! Not to outshine the main meals the rice (chimichanga came with a side of rice and beans) was the best I've had anywhere hands down. Highly recommend giving these guys a shot and we will definitely be...
