Giving 1 star because the customer service I witnessed here today was ridiculous. Isn’t the customer is supposed to always be right? Well not at at this place. I have never seen in my life such bad behavior from a business owner. After being a loyal customer of 6 years I will no longer be a customer of this place anymore. I brought my sister and close friend of mine with me to get our nails done today. My friend just wanted a simple pedicure that required gel removal from a previous nail job. Once they started the gel removal they didn't let it soak long enough for the gel to fully come off. They then tried scraping over and over until the worker gave up leaving residue of gel polish on the nails and tried to complete the rest of the steps of the pedicure. Mind you, the gel residue was still on nails. A second attempt to get polish off was made but still not completed. My friend started to get upset because they wanted to just paint over the gel residue and get her out of there as soon as possible. So she told the worker to stop before they went any further with the pedicure and Lee comes up to her and tries to charge her $19 for a job that wasn't even done - no polish on her feet and uneven toenails. A normal pedicure is $15 he said gel polish to remove it is an additional $4. My friend said that she was not happy at all and felt she shouldn't have to pay for something that wasn't complete. She tried giving $10 due to the fact they hadn't even painted her nails yet. Lee cursed her out and called the police on her over $9 she didn't give him. When the police arrived she offered to pay $15 and that still wasn't good enough for him. He still wanted the $4 for an incomplete and horrible gel removal. This was the worst customer service I've ever witnessed and it made my stomach churn. People go to a nail salon to have a peaceful and relaxing time unfortunately this was the exact opposite of what was recieved today. The 111 precinct also thought that he was being unreasonable and unprofessional....

If I could put zero stars, I definitely would. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I decided to get a pedicure, the owner had a girl do them, I told her I had a gel pedicure and it had to be removed so she started the process. While we were doing it, I notice that the gel from my toes were only half way off and I told the same girl that they were only half done, she tried again. After the second time of her doing it, it still wasn’t off. Through the service, I noticed that she was rushing all the way. I started to get upset and mid-pedicure, I told the girl to stop. So we stopped. The owner, Lee came over to me and wanted to charge me for the full pedicure and gel removal. I told him I wasn’t satisfied and was willing to pay for at least half of the work because I didn’t feel right leaving without giving something. Then Lee decided to start getting rude and cursed at me because I was upset and didn’t want to pay full price. So by this time, he offered to fix them and I agreed but then he cursed at me so I said no because he had another worker already on the phone with the police. Once the police came in, he started to switch the story up and had the worker that called the cops defending him, she also was arguing with me while the cops were already there. Unfortunately, I still had to pay full price for a service that was not finished because of the fact that I didn’t want to get arrested over a pedicure. Lee was super disrespectful even in front of the police, laughing in my face after I paid. I feel that this type of customer service is unacceptable especially because I also work in services. If I had a person upset with the job that was done, I'd find a way to accommodate them just to make sure they are at least a little bit satisfied with the service. If you are going to have someone work for you, make sure they know what...

I called beforehand and they said they have a spot. I got there immediately to find that the place was full. I waited for about 10-15 min which I didn’t mind. Sat down to finally pick out my colors, and NOT EVEN THREE MINUTES LATER the boss, Lee, tells the lady who’s doing my nails that if I can’t pick out my color TO SKIP ME and to do the person after me since she is getting her hands, feet and eyebrows done. I had a party to attend and told them if they shipped me I would leave. I quickly picked out my color…didn’t even look at all of them btw because I felt so rushed. The lady filed my nails very quickly and I can tell she felt rushed. As soon as she gets up to get the nail polish Lee again goes “after you do her hands go do the other lady’s feet.” I had enough of the rushing and told Lee “could you please stop rushing her? You’re making me nervous.” To my surprise Lee said “I don’t think I did anything wrong. If you have a problem with it you can leave.” The exchange went back and forth in which I attempted to tell him I’m feeling rushed and am not getting the time I deserve to even pick out a nail color. Again all his responses were the same “If you don’t like it you can leave.” So that’s exactly what I did. I left ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED by how they manage this nail salon and how rude the boss was. He has no concern for his customers and only care about money. It’s absolutely DISGRACEFUL and as an Asian myself I am embarrassed by him. I ended up finishing my nails at another nail salon, LMZ nail and Spa. And what a difference! The boss, Mary, was great. She was so patient and kind and took her time even though there were people waiting. I will never step foot into Lees again and urge everyone else who don’t want to be rushed, skipped and seen only as $$ to...

Today is the second time I’ve been to Lee’s Bayside Nail & Spa. Both times, I walked in and had about a 45 minute wait. Anna was my nail specialist and she’s great at paying attention to details. One of the things I noticed was how she paints a top coat on the nail edges to seal it and make the gel manicure last longer. There are a few minor details I noticed during my visit like my nails not being 100% covered in nail polish. It’s not a lot of missed space and it’s straight, so you really can’t tell except if you’re looking for it. The second time around had a bit of polish at the edges that needed to be cleaned up, but it’s nothing a shower can’t wash off. I’m very particular about my nails, so I haven’t been to a nail spa for at least 10-15 years until I moved recently. I usually do regular and gel mani pedis myself. Overall, I’m happy with my experience, my nails, the friendly staff and other friendly clients during my visits. I just might turn into a regular 🙂 Bonus: the massages make for a nice mini spa day! Thank you Lee, Anna and team for a great experience.
