New York | $39.95 Per Person Korean BBQ Buffet

All you can eat Korean BBQ in the Queens area. I do not recommend visiting. Food Recommendation: steamed egg and pork skin. Food: The menu offers 19 meat options (3 chicken, 7 pork, 8 beef, 1 squid) and 8 sides (including garlic & jalapeños, white rice, and salad). The steamed egg is good, and the pork skin has a sweet flavor that I liked. The other meats are okay, except for the pork belly, which had an unpleasant taste (腥味)—I’m not sure how to describe it. Pakring: Street parking. Price: We end up paying 50 bucks including tax and tip. To be honest, it is not a cheap all-you-can-eat, considering what they offer. I was looking forward to the meal and sadly it does not worth the price. The following are the reasons: 1. You can't really eat much because of the taste: The BBQ meats are heavily seasoned. The radishes are bland so you don't have food to cut through the grease. The beef soup is heavy on the white pepper. We drink more than 4 cups of water. 2. Their grill is a round plate and the oil splatters a lot—I got splashed several times. If you go, I recommend wearing a good jacket and hopefully you have your hair protecting your face. 3. 100 minutes seating limit. My first time to see a seating time limit for a buffet. 4. Suggested tip for all parties begins from 20%, with option of 20%, 22%, and 25%. 5. One buck per ice cream. They mentioned that they had a "sale" on Melona for 1 bucks each. While it takes only 15.59 for 24 counts in Costco. It’s pretty generous of the restaurant to serve all-you-can-eat and then only charge $1 per Melona. In all, I regret my 50 bucks.

Disappointing Service and Tasteless Food I recently visited O2 KBBQ and unfortunately, my dining experience left much to be desired. The customer service was lacking, starting with a waiter who seemed inattentive and took a while to take our order. Throughout our meal, the service was overall slow and inefficient. Not only did our order arrive incomplete, but despite multiple requests, we had to repeatedly ask for table napkins which were never promptly provided. Moreover, they forgot to bring our soju, leaving us disappointed. One noticeable issue was that the staff would cook our food and then leave to attend to other customers, leaving our dining experience feeling neglected. This lack of attention made the atmosphere not warm and friendly. Sadly, the quality of the food did not make up for the disappointing service. The meat lacked taste and the sides were not complete. This lack of flavor truly dampened the experience, leaving me with no desire to return to O2 KBBQ. To add to the list of shortcomings, when I requested a sauce refill, the waiter poured an excessive amount, making it messy and unappetizing. In conclusion, my visit to O2 KBBQ was a letdown. The poor customer service, slow and incomplete orders, tasteless food, and overall neglectful atmosphere make it difficult for me to recommend this restaurant to others. I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improvement.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Unless of course, you want to be mistreated, disrespected and treated like an inmate... The food was not great was kind of blend, the table grill was not properly balance, you either eat burned food or wait for a good deal of time for your meat to be some how "not raw"... The servers were very kind and trained "BUT"!!! the manager of the night of October 30th 2021 was a real problem, here is why. He did not greet our group, he didn' even say good night, hello or something that identifies that person as a civilized human been. He just was standing in the doorway and yelled at us: PROOF OF VACCINATION!!! l said, good evening, excuse me? He yelled even louder: PROOF OF VACCINATION!!! after we show our proof, he just step aside pointing at a table. we ordered the food & he suddenly came to withdraw a chair from our table, (we were a party of three). after 1 hour we ordered the check, l have to mention that there is a sign that reads: "YOU HAVE 100 MINUTES TO USE THE TABLE, AFTER THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED 30% ADDITIONAL TO YOUR ORDER FOR EVERY 30 ADDITIONAL MINUTES" so we were signing the credit card slip when this misguided young man standing at the head of our table, and with 6 empty tables in the dining room yelled at us: IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO LEAVE!!! I HAVE CUSTOMERS WAITING FOR THIS TABLE!!! We never saw "customers waiting" in our way out.

The only reason l can imagine for that extremely rude behavior is that this poor young man is under some kind of phsychiatrical treatment and he forgot to take his medication.

The other reason could be because we were the only two hispanic and one haitian people in the dining room, but l don't believe this restaurant would have such an open discriminatory attitude to their customers.

In any case, if this poor misguided boy can not be fired right in the spot, (that is what l would do, before he gets a law suit), he should be place out of contact with people until he learn some basic social skills.

Prices were average, kind of high for the blend food and outrageously high for the really bad...

@o2bbq $37.95 p/p . According to swarm, the last time I visited O2 was 2018, when they didn’t have kalbi on their menu. And I think thats the reason I don’t go often. I mean, when it comes to kbbq, the most popular cut of the meat kalbi . I don’t know when they added kalbi to their menu but it’s definitely a great addition to say the least… . While it’s AYCE, they limit to 4 items per order. The first couple of rounds, they do give a decent portion, but you really need to go with people who love to eat meat… . After the first couple of rounds, they do reduce their portion sizes, which is the correct way, so that you don’t over order and worse waste food. So keep in mind, order your favorite meats in the beginning… . We got the brisket (shown), top blade, kalbi marinated (tender), bulgogi, spicy pork belly, kalbi marinated, marinated chicken and spicy squid.. . I think for the most part, the meats were good quality and tasted good. I participle enjoyed the brisket, maybe it was the first meat cooked and I was hungry… . Their top blade and kalbi marinated are thicker cuts so they are beefier in taste, but when you order cook it, it can be a bit tough/dry… . The ventilation was ok, we had a big party, party of 8, we had 2 grills.. I was rather unlucky to have sat at the inner side by the wall, where it was almost impossible for any staff to get to so needless to say, my side didn’t get much help with the cooking, so we, mainly I, did about 95% of the cooking… I reeked like kbbq like there was no tmrw… . Aside from that, the service wasn’t bad, they replenished the ban chan upon request and took our orders when we needed it. They changed the grill only once, although I think it could have been more… and since I had to manage the grill, I didn’t even know which side to turn the knob for low/high heat . Pro tip - make reservations (but not sure if there...

Not bad. We came here for lunch on a weekday and got Lunch B. They do one meal option (Lunch A, Lunch B, Dinner) per table (not per person).

I tried their spicy chicken, marinated chicken, and soy pork ribs. Spicy chicken: Not very spicy and pretty plain. Doesn't have much flavor. It just has a little bit of spice, but it's not noticeable. Marinated chicken: Good. Not too sweet or salty. They said multiple times that their chicken meat (both marinated and spicy chicken) is chicken breast, but we're pretty sure it was chicken thigh. Soy pork ribs: Kind of like a teriyaki marinade -- it was a bit sweeter than the marinated chicken, but it was still good.

We also tried some of their sides: Tteokbokki: Not bad. The sauce is like a Thai spicy chili sauce. Sweet potato croquettes: I didn't try these, but my friend said they pretty mushy (on the inside) and plain. Japchae: Also not bad.

The service was good. There was only one server working during the shift, and he had to take care of ~5 tables, but he was very polite and did his job well.

It probably varies by server/cooker, but some of the chicken pieces were not cooked through even after he said it was ready. Not a big deal, but just noting for those who may not double check before eating.

Overall, we had a good meal here. I think their lunch options (especially Lunch A) are good deals, and the sides (grilled veggies, salad, etc.) and banchan (bean sprouts, pickled radish, kimchi) they offer are sufficient. I don't think I'd come here for their dinner option though, as I think Cast Iron is still a better deal for...
