I was awestruck by the beautiful pictures from lake Como. Every blog I read only hyped up the place more. Hence I decided to include como in my north Italy itinerary. But I was fairly disappointed the minute I was there. Lake Como is overhyped. I booked a room in Como and my initial plan was to stay in Como for 2 days Day 1 : I wanted to visit Bellagio and varenna. Day 2 : Mennagio and Como To go to Bellagio, varenna or Mennagio, there are 2 options from Como. Either a fast boat or a slow boat. By slow boat it takes 3 hours from Como to Bellagio. And by fast boat it takes 50 minutes. My plan was obviously to take the fast boat at 9 am because the next fast boat was at 11 am. I reached the ticket office at 8am in the morning but the tickets to both the fast boats at 9am and 11am were sold out. I had to get a fast boat at 10am and I reached Bellagio at 1pm. The boats are horribly organized. The last boat back to Bellagio was at 18:10 and the last fast boat was at 17:30. Looking at how unorganized the boats were, I decided to skip varenna and stay in Bellagio. But to be frank, there was nothing much to do in that tiny town if you are not visiting any villas. Entry to these villas cost 25-30 euros and it was not for a budget traveller. And all the great pictures of como you see are from the villas. So this lake and town is just not worth the hype. We decided to go back to como by 17:30 fast boat. So we went to buy the tickets for it at the dock at 15:00 and guess what, the tickets were already sold out. So we chose to go by the 16:30 slow boat. But there was already a long queue for that boat and we joined that queue. We stood in the queue for 1.5 hours and sat in the boat for 3 hours and reached como. Guess what I did next ?? Cancelled my day 2 in como and booked a train to Milan and ran away from this horrible place. I am never coming back again. Skip Lake Como and instead visit 1. Königsee in Germany 2. Tossa de mar, Spain 3. Split, Croatia 4. Amalfi coast, Italy. This is the most overrated and overhyped place in Italy, Europe. Did you have a similar experience with any place you visited ? #lakecomoitaly #bellagio #varenna #overrated #dontvisit

Small slice for $3. Crispy, medium thin crust. Cheese is well cooked, but couldn't taste the sauce. Plus, it pretty much taste like a grilled cheese slice. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. Rate this at 82.

The positive reviews from before October 2019 are for the former pizzeria at this address Big Boys the. It became Cuzzin Joe’s & now it is Amalfi Coast. The place was empty and the tables needed to be cleaned. A man who wasn’t working but just watching TV and manning the register seemed to be an owner of some sort. The cook was working harder than the other 2 men in there. The pizza was just okay the sauce needed something to bring a tang out from the tomatoes but at least the pizza was cooked properly. (Big Boys Review: Sauce tastes great! Fried calamari was delicious and crispy and tender LOVED it! Service was fast and staff was friendly and made me feel like family! A great...

I ordered takeout for a small party at home and the food was delicious! Starting with the antipasto salad which was so fresh and bursting with flavor! We dug into cheesy, warm garlic bread, then had pepperoni, cheese and vodka pizza…yum! Rigatoni with large and scrumptious meatballs, penne vodka..so good! Pasta fagioli soup had a nice amount of garlic to give it a kick. The seafood pasta was full of mini clams, mussels, shrimp & calamari! Next, eggplant rollatini…hit the spot! Dessert was rich- deep fried oreos & zeppoles…super tasty!!! All the portions of food were very generous, food was fresh and...

The best Stromboli in Staten Island, literally could not find anyone that can make a good “Stromboli” the way I always wanted it. Not just the food is great but the service. The owner and staff know how to treat customers. Ecstatic that they came to Midland Ave where we so needed a great neighborhood pizzeria spot. Will be trying other dishes but if you ever want to order my Stromboli I would recommend ask for the works. Green pepper, onions, cheese, pepperoni, sausage and a warm tomato sauce and that completes the meal....
