Only reason they're getting any rating from me is bc they already took my money & didn't deliver what I paid for. So now im gonna give them what they actually deserved. Simply put, they didn't fulfill my order after i paid. They're claiming it was delivered in mailbox just 3 hours after they texted me at 7am notifying & apologizing that "my order is delayed" no poop. It already was, so i figured as I'm sure most would, if theyre texting to say it's delayed, that they most likely wouldn't have SUPPOSEDLY delivered it 3 hours later. Huh?
then customer service became non existent when i started to explain my situation. (Very much like the screenshot of another woman's experience that was just like mine. i added to my review) i had ordered 1 thing. Nose Better. A nose ointment bc my nose was terriblely dry & chapped.
The ointment isn't cheap nearly $20 plus shipping from OTC & it sells for much more $ elsewhere. (Online & locally) So that was a big factor in why I picked OTC.
Well, I guess OTC doesn't have to worry (as a company) about losing $ on a product if they aren't gonna ever fulfill it. What I sent them was 💯 % profit to their bottom line.
Which really irks me bc that's exactly why they set all their prices just below others online, knowing damn well, the other companies are reputable & actually believe in & practice actual customer service. Not in the business of just taking online sale money which is instantaneously & after i made the payment, i had a gut feeling i should have checked up on OTC's reviews before just going with em. But like i said, i really needed this ointment so i was at the point of let's just do it.
Well, keeping in mind I ordered just ONE, small, VERY SMALL tube of nose better and they couldn't even get me that.
First the order was delayed longer than i anticipated. But i already paid for it so figured I'll wait. Ordered Jan 2, they said it shipped Jan 10th. Not sure how or why it would take 8 days to ship a . 45 oz tube of stuff but whatever. (Maybe bc they didn't) So i waited, waited, waited hopeful it would arrive sooner rather than later... And finally on the the 10th i receive an email from OTC saying it's shipped. Est delivery 14th. The email with the supposed tracking info was very sketchy looking. Didn't look legit or professional at all. The link for the tracking was supposedly for DHL, however the tracking link they provided me, only took me to their website. Not DHL! Then when I tried to manually enter the tracking # into DHL's website, they had no record of that tracking #. 🤔 But OTC was providing all the supposed delivery updates to me oh their own website. Not by the company actually delivering it. On the morning they claimed it was left in mailbox i was home. First i received a text from OTC saying my order is again delayed at 7:00am. Which i wasn't happy about but whatever. I just wanted my nose to be better.
Well, then at 11:26am that same day, i receive another text simply stating "your order was delivered". I was very confused but at that point i didn't care i just wanted what i bought & paid for. I kid you not, i got out to my mailbox not 2-3 mins after receiving the text that it was delivered & there was nothing in my mailbox.
This company's solution for me, contactb usps & file a claim and blah blah blah. I worked in retail many years. If a customer called with an issue with their order and it's something they could make right or at least put some effort into ratifying & solving, then a company should do so. I didn't make that choice to use DHL as my shipping career. That's on then. Not me! And to just totally try to put all responsibility on me at that point to try and find a .45 oz of nose gel. Rather than just send a new one out, assuming they ever sent the original. It wouldn't have broke their company & maybe they'll now learn that shipping carrier a company chooses is a reflection on them. Shipping label was NOT created until 05/15/23, but the package did NOT leave the warehouse until 05/16/23 via DHL. The package arrived in Grand Prairie, TX on 05/18/23 & was switched over from DHL to USPS. I live exactly 3 hours and 20 minutes away from Grand Prairie, TX, and it still took the package 5 more days to reach me on 05/23/23. Therefore, I deducted one star based on the shipping delay being 2 days shy of 2 weeks. I felt like this was excessive because it is a medication and should be delivered in a 2 to 3 day time frame, 5 days at the most.
The package arrived in good condition and was well protected with thick bubble wrap protecting the goods inside of a sturdy box. I received ALL 29 containers of the Blue Star Ointment that I need for severely dry skin on my feet, cracked skin on my fingers and feet, and generalized body Eczema. I also use it on any itchy spots, or if I get bitten by an insect. This is an old-school ointment that I remember my grandmother using when I was a child. So, when all else failed, I decided to go back to what existed before Big Pharma took over and made us feel like only what they create for a profit works 😂😂😂. I ordered wound care supplies and paid for 2nd day air shipping, as I needed the supplies stat. Not only did it take days for them to process, but they shipped it standard slow ( the “free shipping” option.) I have called over 20 times in the last 2 weeks and could only get the man twice on the line, the second time he hung up on me. When I finally did receive the package, it was the wrong item. I have opened a claim with PayPal, which they have not replied to. They wanted me to ship back the product to inspect before they would consider sending me the right one or refunding me. I refused to pay the return shipping until they refunded me the $37 they owed me for the fraudulent shipping charges the first time. To date, I am still out $86 and the product. They have not responded to my emails or PayPal’s outreach. Judging from the BBB site and this company’s F rating, with dozens of similar complaints from others, I am not anticipating they will do the right thing, refund my money or send me what I ordered.
