Garden Bay Deli — Restaurant in New York

A decent breakfast spot that caters to DOC personal working on Rikers nearby. The breakfast they make is ok, and the kitchen is definitely quick. They have a wide selection of snacks and goodies perfectly aimed for those working in a secure facility (no metal containers, mostly plastic). However, in 2020, they don't take credit cards (?!) That's unacceptable in my opinion. They definitely see enough for traffic to make it worth their while, i feel they're just being cheap. That alone is keeping them from a 4 or 5...

Good food, respectful service. Know what you want to order, if it's there, it will get made how you want it!

FYI Orders are also made over the phone for pick up, so don't be mad if you order at the store and have to wait when others come in, and...

asked for Bacon on a sandwich for a friend got to work and it wasn't on the sandwich which I paid for they were polite when I called and verified that I in fact was given the wrong order they promised to make it right the next...
