I’ve been a loyal Lidl shopper at the Astoria location for over four years, but my recent experience with the store manager, Miguel G, was unacceptable. While using my EBT card to pay for my groceries, an unexplained $2.17 charge appeared, even though I only purchased food items. The cashier couldn't figure it out, so she called Miguel G. He also couldn’t determine the issue and said the only solution was to cancel and rescan everything—without knowing if my $117.35 EBT payment would be refunded immediately.
When I expressed my frustration, Miguel G accused me of being "hostile" instead of addressing the issue professionally. When I asked for his full name to report him, he refused and loudly yelled “G” at me. This behavior was completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
